Heckers All Purpose Flour Unbleached 25LB

Terrific flour, makes good sourdough bread and pizza dough. Have tried other brands, but prefer Heckers. I only received 1 of 2 bags ordered. Not wrapped well for shipment. Did bust open in box. Needs to be put in plastic bag. Was refunded for unusable flour. Reordered. Another order from 3G Supplier now sent me 10 - 5 pound bags, instead of 2- 25 pound bags. Why do they think that's okay. I wish they would stop false advertising. I dump my flour into large food storage bins. Do you think opening 10 bags of flour instead of 2 is something I wanted to do??? NO! Did I order 10 small bags of flour??? NO! still the best flour around. So still 5 stars, but the several shippers need to package it better and be able to count!!! Okay, latest shipper- New York to Califirnia, they think its ok to sell me a bag with a good size hole in it, aww it's ok though, they put clear plastic tape over it... flour leaked out all in the box and out, probably left a trail from NY to Cali... still best flour, shippers of flour- hint, tip, do this-- put it in a plastic bag before placing it in the box!!!!! Im gonna have to find a local vendor. The problems with the bags are almost everything now. Very dissapointed. And why does Amazon still put item returnable date, when they have no intention of allowing me to return food items?????

I got the 25 pound bag of flour. Another reviewer stated they got 5 pounds In error. I had a problem with UPS delivery and this seller was wonderful to work with. The seller stepped up to the plate aiming for customer satisfaction, and paid attention to my needs. In addition, I might add per that reviewer, that no way no how is a 25 lb bag of flour in Costco selling for under $6. They sell 10 lb bags of flour for more than that. The price of this flour is fair, and remember, life is not as it was, we are in a pandemic and it won't end soon. Therefore, this price is VERY fair. If you have room in your freezer, or fridge that’s where you should store it and it will last a long time.

The quality of this flour is awesome! I usually buy King Arthur flour but I have been making so much I needed it in bulk. This surpassed my expectations. It came on time and I have already made bagels and ciabatta bread with it, the results were fantastic. I probably won’t go back to any other flour, and I’m going to buy one for my mom too. I see someone’s order was messed up and they received a 5lb bag but I didn’t have the same issue. Heck yeah for Heckers!

Like everyone else, it seems, I learned how to bake bread in the pandemic. I've tried a lot of flours and have fallen in love with Heckers. I like it even better than King Arthur, which is high praise. It makes gorgeous dough and even better bread. I like the crumb I get with Heckers better than any other flour I've tried. (I'm using the "New Artisan Bread in 5 minutes A Day recipe, which is genius.) Thank you Heckers!

We have purchased this flour from Hecker's in the past and we were very pleased with the taste and quality of it, we enjoy being able to order it in bulk online. It seems like a lot of the negative reviews are targeted more against FedEx, their shipper. Recently, FedEx falsely claimed that they delivered my newest order of flour. I brought this to the attention of Hecker's and they did their best to help me. In the end, they refunded my money. This is a good product and good company that is being hurt by FedEx.

It's May 2020 and all purpose flour is very hard to come by, so imagine my surprise when I was able to purchase 25 pounds at about $2 a pound. When I opened the bag I noticed that the flour is a wonderful consistency, almost powder like. Immediately it was portioned out to smaller sealed bags, about 4 pounds per bag, and set aside to either use or give to anyone that needs flour at this time to feed their family. Praying that I will not have to buy it in this large size again, but it is good to know that quality is out there without having to pay an arm and a leg.

I have been baking all our breads since April and I do like this flour, the taste is good and it seems very versatile. But most of the flour is very overpriced online, as you can get the flour for $1 per lb in the store, or even on some flour companies website for $40 for 50lbs for organic flour. Which I didn't know until about a week ago, so if you need 25lbs and 50lbs bags like me than that is a lot cheaper, so you may want to check that out. I don't know how long the shipping on that takes though....

Being accustomed to King Arthur brand, I wasn't sure this would be comparable or fresh. Boy, was I wrong! Heckers flour brand is just as good and very fresh! I have baked quick breads, muffins, biscuits and pizza/bread doughs, with this and my cooking turns out superb every time with this product. I will definitely get this again as I like the ease of having a large quantity shipped to my door to keep pantry stocked.
