We have an apple orchard and were hit with a lot of grasshopper damage this year. The leaves of some of the smaller trees were almost totally stripped. I sprayed this twice about a week apart. It does not kill grasshoppers, but there was a noticeable reduction in most of the orchard. some trees seemed completely clear and others had only a few hoppers on some tips. Very strong garlic smell! I will be ordering another bottle to have on hand so I can spray earlier next year.

It's not often that I sit down to write a product review on the same day that I receive an item from Amazon. This stuff is just that impressive. I received the bottle this morning. I was really dreading going out to do some weeding in a long-ignored flower bed because my community is surrounded by lakes and there's no mosquito control. Plus it had been raining, was a cool summer day, and was still overcast. I mixed up a gallon of this stuff, poured it into an automatic sprayer, and headed out. I sprayed the perimeter of my yard, starting with the Flowerbed of Doom. When I started spraying, I was getting swarmed pretty bad by mosquitoes. By the time I looped around and made it back to the flower bed, however, there were no more mosquitoes. I was out in that weedpatch for three solid hours and didn't get a single mosquito bite. In this area, that's absolutely unheard of (unless it's January).Yes, my whole yard smelled like garlic immediately following the spray. Yes, it's noticeable. Yes, it made me want a warm basket of fresh bread sticks. And yes, I've now gone an entire Minnesota summer day without getting bit by a single mosquito even though I was ripping through weeds and vegetation like a maniac for a few hours. I don't know how long this will last or how often it will need reapplication. I'm just checking in to say that this stuff works quickly and is more effective than I'd dared hope.ETA: While this worked great at first, within a few (non-rainy) days, it was much less effective. I think it was still better than nothing. It's hard to stay on top of the applications because it seems like every time I get out to do it, it rains the next day and all that garlicky goodness gets washed away. I still think it's a pretty cool product and I recommend it. IDK if this actually makes a difference or not, but I store the bottle of concentrate in the refrigerator, and that seems to keep it nice and potent for a long time.

I had read somewhere (can't guarantee that it was from the manufacturer) that this stuff works for repelling grasshoppers; alas and alack that is not the case. It does work very well at making your garden smell like an Italian restaurant, though! :D Thankfully, the smell dissipates within 48 hours if that is of a concern.

I thought the ants would kill my precious Moringa that I've grown from seeds for over five years, now. They're indoors, given the hardiness zone in my area is too cold to keep them outside during the fall and winter. For the first time ants found them and were sucking the trees dry of their syrup! I was heartbroken, until I used this product. In 2 days those ants were GONE and have not returned, while the vitality of my Moringas has returned, fully! This is an EXCELLENT REPELLENT, without a doubt!

No Effect. I don't even know why this should work. I heavily sprayed 2 separate areas, in Sept dry midwest conditions. No effect at dusk. I even sprayed an area twice. No effect. You can smell the garlic for a bit, but thats no problem.

Easy to mix and spray. Works well enough to be able to spend time outside without being eaten alive by mosquitoes. Bonus enjoyment if you love the smell of garlic bread.

This product is not 99% garlic. The gallon size advertisement says that it is, it it may be. But I bought the quart, and when it arrived, the quart is 33% garlic. I guess I got fooled looking at the main listing for a gallon, then didn't notice the change in fine print on the labels when I selected a smaller size. I've been using a competitor's product for years with satisfaction, but noticed this one seemed to be the exact same product, but cheaper. It's cheaper all right. You also have to use 6 or 9 ounces per gallon, I can't recall which, instead of 1 ounce per gallon per the competitor. So obviously this is a diluted product. I'll use it but will never buy again.
