Angel Falls: A Novel

This book will make you cry, both sad and happy tears as well as some that are bittersweet. I read this the wrong way at first. I was afraid of the story and where it was going, especially from the synopsis, so skipped to the end after just a bit of the beginning. Luckily, and possibly because of what I read at the end, I went back and read the whole difficult story and am very glad that I did. Very deep and realistic characters and a very complicated and realistic story. Good that it’s pre smart phone and social media. Sometimes these stories work much better when they don’t have that to lean on.

I love her books and this one was a wonderful journey, I will recommend this book to others. A great read.

This novel started beautifully and with a topic I thought had a lot of potential. Mikaela has a great marriage and two children. She loves horses, but when one of them throws her over, she hits her head and falls into a coma. This accident was witnessed by her small son. Her physician husband is truly in love with her and has to play the juggler role. He visits her every day, has to console her children and keep their hopes up, struggles with his medical knowledge, knowing what the outcome could be for his wife. Halfway through the story, I simply wanted to keep on reading. However, as with many other writers, interest dwindles and the book written becomes a story read many times before. I felt disappointed because I thought that a great topic had not been taken advantage of.

Such a beautiful story I couldn't put it down! This story is realistic engaging with a satisfying ending. You'll enjoy.

I enjoyed reading this book, and it was sometimes hard to put down. It is very descriptive, and a captivating story. However, I probably will not follow up with this author because I found it a little too descriptive with love and sex scenes. If that bothers you also, I would not recommend the book.

Another great read by Kristin Hannah. Haven't read a book of hers I didn't like and a each of her story has a different plot line. May be sad but good.

Damn, that's really some incredible writing! I'm so thankful that there's a Kristin Hannah in this world who can put together such amazing words on paper!

Worth reading

Cada livro que li de Kristin amei, sempre dou 5 estrelas querendo dar mais, ela consegue se expresssar e escrever tão bem sobre relacionamentos entre família, amigos... Vale a pena a leitura. Nível do inglês para leitura: Intermediário 2.
