Flux Core Gasless Mig Wire, Mild Steel E71TGS.030-Diameter, 2-Pound Spool (0.030-Inch 2LB)

i'm a newbie to flux core welding (but not mig or stick), so consider my opinions accordingly. i bought the 10 pound roll to use with my new forney easy weld 140 mp. welds are clean and flat with low splatter, little slag, and clean up easily. i'll buy again, but 10 pounds will last me a long time.

I'm no pro welder but I do bust mine out regularly for exhaust work and other misc repairs. My unit is just a basic Harbor Freight 90A unit and I absolutely loathe their house brand wire. Dealing with constant jams/slips in the wire feed so of course the welds looked like garbage. This wire virtually eliminates that and don't have to worry about keeping the torch lead cable nearly perfectly straight while I'm working. Typically only use it at the Min setting and weld penetration and temp is much higher too. Just have to be careful on thin gauge steel as it may be more pertinent to blow-through.Haven't tried many other brands so can't say how it compares to the big name stuff but I'm very satisfied with the results.

This welding wire is great. It welds very well and came packaged well. It has flux core so there is no need for gas. It feeds well through the gun. Welds good and strong.

I ordered this to give it a try since it was inexpensive, plus the fact a 1 pound spool purchased locally is $20 in my area. As I said, I ordered since it was 2 pounds and my 120 volt/90 amp welder can handle that spool weight.This stuff is great wire! The only adjustment I had to make was the wire speed by slowing it down SUBSTANTIALLY! This stuff burns hot! I've been welding 1/4" plate and loving it! I will be ordering again soon!

Reordered due to sealed to prevent air exposure. Both items arrived without aluminum sealing. One box appeared as if previously opened. Did not return but did wrap in kitchen aluminum. A disappointment as to quality as opposed to functionality.

Works better than what I get at local stores

This MIG welding consumable is a great price and although I have not used it yet, I anticipate a good quality. I have a CUT-50 plasma cutter by this brand and it turned out to be a good piece of equipment.
