Valley Yarns Huntington, Fingering/Sock Weight Yarn, 75% Superwash Merino Wool/25% Nylon - 118 Chocolate

I got this to knit a pair of socks and it's really nice yarn. I knit a lot of socks and this yarn compares favorably to others I've gotten for significantly more money.

I knitted this and the black color up into socks for my husband. He wears them frequently and they're going strong! Can confirm the merino is superwash, the washing machine/dryer are just fine so far. I used size 2/2.75mm ChiaGoo 9" circulars and the knitting was really smooth, although it is definitely prone to splitting a bit. Worth it in my opinion for the fair price and superb finished product. I just wish I had made the socks for myself. :)

I’m a huge fan of Valley Yarns product. They have a great quality Peruvian yarns. I’ve ordered more than 15 socks yarns on different color. I’m knitting a lot of clothes. Socks are my favorite thing. It’s easy and quick to get it done. Especially with this yarn. One skein is enough for one pair of socks shoe size 6-8. I use N2 needles size.This yarn not only for socks even though it says so. You can make a hat of it, like beret hat or beanie hat, your choice.Needless to say this yarn didn’t shrink or stretch after washing, you can wash it in wash machine if you want to. I do hand wash. Also, it doesn’t peal at all. Super soft and comfortable!Just a pleasure to wear these socks.Will order more yarns for sure.
