Whether they're roughing it in the woods or merely pretend-camping in the backyard, kids will love our 10-prong Marshmallow Tree. It's made from non-stick coated steel wire that's bent and turned to look like the branches of a tree, and has a rosewood-stained, tapered wood handle. Make kid-pleasing toasted sandwiches and fruit pies with our cast-iron Campfire Pie Iron that seals the edges as it warms the filling and browns the outside. Extra-long handles with wooden grips keep the cook safely away from the fire. Includes lots of delicious recipes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. And our set of four chrome-plated Steel Forks with wooden handles is great for hot dogs or marshmallows. Adult supervision required. Gift wrap not available. Sizes: Marshmallow Tree 40" long, Campfire Pie Iron 4-1/2" square, Steel Forks 22" long.

Broke before even using!
Wish I had listened to the other reviews. Bought these a year ago anticipating building a patio with a fire pit. Finally pulled them out tonight for the first time. While washing the wax off, I noticed 3 of the handles were a little wobbly. Then as I was applying the oil to season them, one handle completely fell off. Never even made it to the fire! Too nervous it’s going to happen on those with wiggle handles so won’t let my kids use them now. What a waste! Packaging claims it has a 10 year warranty so I’ve emailed the company. I will update if I hear back.

Fell apart immediately.
I'm disappointed in the build quality and I wish that I'd heeded the warnings in other reviews. The handles are fastened to the iron with tiny pins - 2 per handle. The pins were loose and fell out immediately upon testing the product, and repeatedly after I put them back. I tried to use the pie iron one time in a camp fire and quickly decided to return it because the unreliable union between handle and iron meant that the entire contraption could fall apart at any second. This was not safe to use. Thankfully, a cheaper-but-sturdier model from a big box store provided a much better experience. This one is packed up for a return to Amazon and I'd recommend that anyone buying one here test the connection between iron and handles before putting the cooker into use.

Do not purchase!
It broke off after the second “camper pie” in the fire. Purchased just days before I used it. Needless to say we left it at the cabin. I didn’t want to put a dirty and broken pie iron back in my car. Definitely put a damper in the night, one iron and four campers. Maybe should of brought home to return... do not buy!!

These aren't your mom's pie irons...
These are cast iron potential pass down to your grandkids pie irons included with years of tasty camping recipes in their bones. Super easy to use, great fit for bread, rolls, etc. Instructions are clear, make sure to season them after every use. I wrap mine in paper towel afterward - makes them easier to store with oil all over them.Since they are cast iron - there may be a defect causing the hook to break, or cast to crack. Not to fret - these irons are backed by a 10 year warranty - and their CEO is extremely responsive if something does happen caused by manufacturing defect.5/5 stars, don't cheap out - buy these irons.

After one weekend of camping these sandwich cookers are no good. We used them all throughout our camping trip and by the 2nd day, the sticks were wobbly and almost felt as though they were going to come out of the sandwich part. In fact it was so loose that we could not even clamp the latch that holds the sticks together, which allowed ashes to get inside of the pie iron.I will mention though, the sandwich portion is very heavy duty and browned our bread just perfect. It's too bad the stick quality is terrible.

Still the best-but the bar is being lowered
I have used Rome pie irons for years-the round version. I wanted to get the square for sandwiches and all is good, however the handles on these are not nearly as nicely finished as my older ones-they seem to need more sanding as they are rough and not well finished or stained..just another way to cheapen them I guess. Also with all the new cast iron being done in the US I would love to see Rome bring their casting back to the US!

Fun camping cooking method!
We bought a pair of these for camping. They are a great solution for cooking in the woods! I will say it gets tiresome if you have more than a handful of people since it's a one-sandwich vessel; sammiches get done at various times rather than all at once. There is also a learning curve for heat control when cooking over an open fire. It's probably not as bad over a grill.Important: Just like any other cast iron cookware, these need to be preseasoned before their first use. I seasoned mine on my gas grill (handles sticking out) over medium/high heat. This made them nonstick and made them a breeze to clean. Also important is to preheat the irons before you add food (as in regular cast iron cookware).I can't wait to try more recipes!

First one broke in two spots on the first use.
The first unit broke in 2 places upon first use. The handles are just held in with roll pins. I'm assuming when the steel got hot the pins fell out and the handles pull right out while my sandwich burned in the coals. Upon retrieval and handle repair, load a second sandwich, close the lid and the cast hinge snapped off. Cold sandwiches in camp that day.Amazon replaced it, second one arrived quickly. I don't have much faith in it, however it did make it past the first use. Hopefully it holds up. Seems like this is the brand recommended by everyone. Only time will tell.

Terrible product
I purchased 6 of these for a summer project working with children and their families. After some research, I was informed that these were a good, well made brand. On there first use, two broke on the hinge while being used by families, and another the handle dropped out. That's a 50% fault rate. I contacted the sellers (Rome Industry) direct, as their website suggests they will deal with any issues due to faults on the manufacturing instantly. To be fair, they responded quickly and I sent them photos of the problems and they were surprised by the fault, which they suspect might be a hairline crack during production. They promised to send replacements. I purchased these in July 2019, and it's now January 2020, and despite follow up emails, I still haven't received my replacement pie irons. Will not be buying these again and very, very disapointed with what I thought was a reputable family business :(

Wonderful. Bought this as a present for munchies late at night round the fire. Cheese toasties are just the tip of the iceberg, so manyrecipes on Pintrest for pies and other delicious snacks xxx

Thank you!
Good value! Make sure to oil as it is heavy cast iron and do not leave out in the rai as it will rust rather fast if not dried off and oiled.

Enhance your campfire cooking!
This is a solid, cast-iron pie iron. Be sure to season it well before using, and you’ll get years of campfire cooking from it. I’ve used other pie irons, and this is the gold standard!

Nice, solid pie iron
Nice, solid pie iron. It works really well, but I wish it was a tad bigger so that a standard piece of bread fit into it better! It has rusted a little bit on the outside, so I'm not sure if I did something wrong? The inside is fine and I followed the instructions to oil it before the first use.
