The Critical Thinking Daily Mind Builders: Language Arts Book School Workbook Paperback – 1 Jan. 1801

The publisher, "Critical Thinking", offers many great products to help students with higher order thinking. Portions of this product will be used as a daily warm-up or "Do Now". Another product I have used successfully from the same publisher is "Reading Detective". My special education students' ELA state scores show growth. This invaluable tool teaches literacy skills, which is the Common Core push. Amazon offers better prices and they are reliable.

We love taking breaks from our normal school day with this book.

It's weird. Each day had 2 separate parts. The first part is a little blurb of a story then you basically guess a fact based on the blurb. Some you can deduct from the paragraph the answer, but honestly, most have made all of us go, huh??? How would you get that from the info given?! The 2nd part of each day is usually word play of some sort that I think is really beneficial and makes them think. So, I usually just have them do the 2nd part. Not really worth the money though bcs other workbooks do similar word play.

Really good material and keeps my son interested for 20-30 minutes at a time
