Excellent for foodie
I bought this for my 12 year old niece. She is young foodie. Loves to cook and bake. Watches cooking shows with her dad. They even have cooking competitions with each other. She was very excited when I gave it to her and insisted I tell her my chocolate chip cookie recipe right then so she could write it down. The pages are thick so the pen doesn't bleed through. There's plenty of room to write down a recipe and notes about it. The cover is sturdy. Spiral binding is a bonus so the book lays flat when writing in it and has a small footprint on the counter when using it.

Love this journal!
This is just what I was looking for- a simple, blank recipe organizer. I didn't want or need anything with pockets or spots for note cards or anything else- just a blank recipe book. It's organized into four sections: appetizers, main dishes, soups/sides, and desserts. Each section has the same amount of pages. I do wish that the main dishes had a few more pages, but I will probably just continue in a different section when I run out of space. I'm so pleased with this product that I ordered a second one as a gift for a family member. This is a great book that can be passed down within a family, and I'm a particular fan of the spot at the top of each recipe where you can note when you first used the recipe and from whom you got the recipe. A great way to track family traditions!

Fantastic Cook Book
This book is a great cook book. I bought this for my wife so she had a place to put her families recipes in. The layout is great and looks gorgeous, just enough accents but not intrusive on the page. The book is classy and something you can hand down to your family as the time comes. Would buy another one if I need more pages. The construction is very well built, thick pages so you are actually able to use it and not rip it.

Great Recipe Journal
I clipped so many recipes from magazines and printed so many recipes from the web that I was forced to buy something to keep them all in one handy place or toss them all. This recipe journal fit the bill perfectly. The journal is made of recycled paper and has a hard kraft paper cover. It is also a generous size book. It is spiral bound and the pages turn easily without sticking or getting hung on the spiral binding. It is organized by the following categories: appetizers; main dishes; sides, soups, and salads; and desserts. There is a place for writing down what is good to serve with each recipe a place to record prep time and nutritional info, as well as how many servings it makes. There are also places to enter ingredients, hard to find ingredients, directions for cooking, notes on freezing and reheating, as well as a place to rate the recipe from "excellent" to never again". The back side of each recipe page is devoted entirely to "notes" so if you run out of room on the front side to record ingredients or directions, you will likely be able to write it all in on the back side of the page. The paper is an off white color with faint impressions of food and kitchen tools to make the pages more decorative. While this book is great, there are a few minor criticisms. The kraft cover will stain with grease if you cook near it. I wish it were plastic or laminated. There are no plastic tabs to differentiate the sections of recipes--the categories are printed on the sides of the pages. The ingredients lines are all very short. I usually end up writing all the way across two columns of ingredients lines to get the ingredients written down properly. I think despite the 2013 print date on mine that it has a "dated" feel to it as if it is 80s or 90s surplus, but that is a byproduct of the recycled paper and kraft board. This is a terrific place to write out your recipes. I would repeat this purchase and am considering giving some out as stocking stuffers to the cooks in my life.

Love it!
I bought this and wrote in a few recipes for my friend. I love the sectioned out parts to organize the recipes. I also like that the pages are large with plenty of room for writing. Some of my recipes required the full front page and part of the back. This book allows for that. I will eventually be buying one for myself to keep track of my favorite recipes. The book is great quality. Good heavy paper. The only downside being the cover will show grease stains and doesn't just wipe off. So be careful in the kitchen :)

Love this recipe book.
I am giving this as a gift to my daughter filled in with mama recipes she loved growing up. And there is still room for her to add to it for her daughter. It is really a great book that should last for years.

Good Quality with a Couple Quirks
The book itself is sturdy and well made. The pages aren't too cluttered and there's plenty of room to write. There are two things I don't like. One is that the columns for the ingredients are too narrow to write your ingredients. I would prefer two columns with a little more space on each line. As it is is, I frequently need to use two lines for one ingredient. The other thing I don't care for is how the book is broken down by apps, soups, etc. I find it very limiting in both space and subject. I would prefer a book that allows me to write my recipes in any order I want and has a Table of Contents so that I can just flip to the listed page number. Unfortunately, those books seem to have so much extraneous stuff on the page that there isn't enough room for the recipes. So I'll make my own TOC and tuck it into the book and use it the way I want. But all in all, I think it's good quality and worth the price.

EXACTLY what I was looking for!!!
Awesome :)!!! It's even better than I thought :) I really like how this has all the "parts" to a recipe and not just lines on a card.

Bought this for a friend and she was delighted with it. Does what it should, and is good quality for the price.
