Since I'm in an at risk group for Corona Virus, my son-in-law has been doing my weekly marketing. Not everything is at one store, and the ice-cream purchases are made at the first store. Every week, the ice-cream comes back runny, but he's being so sweet to do this, I thought it might be better not to complain.Then my neighbor got a delivery from Whole Foods, and I noticed the freezer bag, which seemed as if it would solve my problem. I promptly bought these from Amazon, and the ice-cream comes to my house in a ready to serve fashion. I'm very pleased with the product.It's all five stars, except for the durability. Since I've only been using them for two weeks, I can't attest as to how long they're going to last. But they seem just fine.

It was tough to choose a rating for this product. I really wanted to rate it higher. I can tell that the insulating potential is there but, while the capacity in size is “there” to hold a lot of stuff, the weight capacity is low, which renders it less effective than its full potential. Here’s why: unless it’s full of something lightweight like lettuce, the weight causes the handles/snaps (they’re tiny and not-very-robust plastic) to separate. Insulation only works when sealed. If this product can be re-engineered with a closure to keep the bag closed, it’s effectiveness would be greatly improved and I would give it a higher rating. I’d even pay more for that. Otherwise, this product needs to come with a disclaimer in the description, and a weight capacity for effectiveness, and I’d still give it a higher rating with a “you get what you pay for” comment.

The first bags I have found they stay closed and stay cold!!

They’ve been used for a day trip so far and they’ve done their job. They are the perfect size and slip right into my cooler where I keep a large ice pack to help keep cool longer.
