I find his poetry flows beautifully through my mind bringing up visual images that grab me. This book makes me think more about how to articulate deep feelings.

I am only beginning to really discover David Whyte's work. I usually buy only Kindle ready books, yet this one was worth the eye strain to read.Beautiful, and brutally honest. Loved it!

Perfect for what I needed and am going through

I have been reading David Whyte for awhile and he speaks to my soul.

This did not move me, nor strike a chord with my experience in life. For me, poetry is more of revelation of the inner spirit or the unusual observance of life. With the exception of the poem, "The Painter's Hand", this selection did not resonate. Maybe my expectation based on a recommendation was set too high.This one gets three stars.

There may have been a time in my life when this book worked for me, but that stage that the author was in when he wrote these is one I long ago passed out of and I can find no inspiration here. It is about loss and being lost and hopelessness and, well, not my cup of tea.

Awesome poet. David Whyte is one of my favorite contemporary poets. His words take you on a wonderful journey of peace and self awareness. This is an old book, very hard to find. Pleased with the purchase and the chap who sent it.
