Better Life Natural Concentrated Laundry Detergent, Lavender Grapefruit, 64 loads

Honestly I love how long lasting this is, I had stopped buying it from Amazon and was buying it at my supermarket until they stopped supplying it, so I'm back to buying this on Amazon, no other brands like it... I tried another I thought was good and was swarmed by bugs at work.. came to realize this detergent repels bugs somehow very strongly for me. Since switching back to it, even with the hot temperatures in summer right now, the bugs stay away and I love it, For what its worth I got the Lavender one , I didn't notice if there's other scents, but the Lavender one repels insects for me, As for cleaning its actually very strong even with such a little cap, and if you use too much it causes issues since it needs to be rinsed thoroughly, so half a cup isn't just recommended, its kind of mandatory... which means it lasts exactly as long as it says on the container, Other brands I had to use more just to get them to clean, and it caused bacteria overgrowth from left over unrinsed detergent, This one has no issues, so thumbs up from me.

I have gone through a lot of detergents and I research them a lot with EWG before buying them as I want something safe. I have found this cleans really well (both the unscented and scented) and lasts a good while and with a baby we are always doing laundry. I don't find that my clothes have any smell, even biking or without gear, I haven't noticed more stains sticking around and I feel good about using this. You'll know when you wash a mask in the winter and they don't smell! The lavender grapefruit is nice, it's not overpowering and it smells like real lavender with a hint of grapefruit which therefore makes it but so floral. The only negative is that it's a little expensive but Amazon is where I've found the best price as of now. I'm happy with this and my search has halted. I would recommend trying a bottle and if you love it then subscribe for a shipment and save a little more!

I bought this detergent because of it’s rating by EWG, and I also saw the owner on Shark Tank a few years ago and knew the brand was safe for kids and pets. I was previously using the Method brand detergent and wanted something without the artificial brightened. I love this detergent! It smells great (the smell does dissipate after drying, because the scent is all-natural), but more importantly I feel like my clothes are actually softer compared to my previously detergent! Especially my sheets. Everything feels so clean and soft, I have found my new detergent! Some reviews mention it being hard to pour, I wonder if they keep their house relatively cold? I keep mine at 70 degrees and I think with the formula having coconut oil that does make a difference! I don’t find it any different to pour than other detergents. In fact, the spout/lid are designed very well, there’s been no goopy build-up like I had with Method.

The 64 oz. bottle says in large print that you'll get 64 loads of laundry from it.However, I kept track by making a tally mark on the bottle with a pen each time I put in a load and I only counted 53, even though I measured and put in the correct amount each time. This was the same for two bottles. I purchased the unscented because I am very sensitive to a lot of chemicals and the detergent itself worded fine, but I feel that the price is a bit high for the number of loads I get from a bottle.

UPDATE 10/24: I am so disappointed that Better Life has apparently stopped making the unscented version of this detergent! And yet they're still selling the Lavender Grapefruit detergent. How hard can it be to just NOT add the scent?? It's very hard to find liquid laundry detergents that are unscented and don't contain harmful chemicals. I'm really not looking forward to spending hours and hours trying to find another. This one was perfect! Please bring it back!!!I looked high and low for a laundry detergent that wasn't filled with harmful chemical cleaning agents and mystery fragrances, and I was so happy when I found Better Life. This is a truly unscented laundry detergent, and all the ingredients are pretty gentle and hypoallergenic, especially as compared to mainstream store brands. I've been using Better Life for about a year now, and I haven't had any bad reactions. The detergent seems to wash any unpleasant smells out of my dirty clothes but doesn't add a "fresh, clean" scent because it's fragrance-free, which is fine with me. (They have scented versions if you prefer that.) I know it does its job because I've watched the sudsy water draining out of my washing machine after the wash cycle. I hope Better Life never stops making this excellent unscented natural detergent!

I really like better life products as clothes and sponges do not mildew if you leave them too long. Did a good job of cleaning too.

I seen reviews on you tube about this product so I ordered some and I just love the lavender scent my whole house smells like lavender and you use to little of the product and my cloths came out so clean and fresh, great product and arrived ahead of the scheduled time

I love it! It smells amazing, it gets my laundry clean and it's not full of toxic crap. What else could you want from it!?

It's a must-have in our house! I bought this detergent together with few other cleaning products of the same brand, and I was never disappointed with the quality. Originally I bought it to wash my baby's clothes and cloth diapers, and, I must admit it works very well. I can't say it removes all spots (for stubborn ones I use Buncha Farmers stain stick), but it always leaves clothes fresh. I love the fact that it's absolutely non-toxic and natural. I used other "green" detergents before, but Better Life detergent is the only one that is free of "safe and natural" preservatives (like benzisothiazolinone).

Used for approx 6 loads now and I do think my clothes are cleaner. Don't need a lot..goes a long way. Doesn't leave a film on the washer door either

I never write any reviews but it's the first time i could really tell it was a real lavender smell, made from real ingredients! Calming. To me just that is so worth it since i'm sensible to smells! Plus the clothes came back soft and felt fresh, a must!
