Pay the money for the premium it is so worth it. Find out more about your pet than you thought possible. Very accurate and easy to navigate their website. They do send way too many emails after the service though.

We bought this doggie DNA kit to determine the breed of our dog. It was very easy to use and did not cause our dog any discomfort - just use the pre-packaged swab to obtain a saliva sample by holding the swab in the dog's mouth for a few seconds. Then you package and return the sample. The results came back fairly quickly, and it was pretty cool to learn more about her! We learned her breeds (mix), some info about her temperament, and even learned about nearby relatives! It's interesting to learn more about our adopted dog. I highly recommend this kit.

This was our third time using Wisdom Panel. We enjoy learning more about breeds our rescue dogs have that we wouldn’t suspect. It is easy to use anx understand. We have not needed a DNA test for our dogs since 2016 until 2024 and I was SUPER duper excited to learn that you can now opt in to learn about related dogs. I was excited because our newest addition was previously used for breeding and was really overbred. Our vet said she could easily have given birth to over 100 puppies. Well, we got our DNA results in about the same amount of time they said they would have the results ready, maybe a couple of days sooner. I had forgotten that we opted in to see relatives of our pet. We found one of our dog’s offspring! We also saw over 50 other more distant relatives. The photo of our dog’s offspring looked just like her! In our situation, our dog was removed from her previous owner due to neglect and abuse, and it upsets me thinking about where her many pitbull puppies could have ended up. I was hoping that I could connect with other users (assuming they have the ability to opt in or out for communication) to just ask how they came across the dog/what their experience was because there are a lot of unknowns. I would 100% give this product 5 stars if they made the option available to communicate with fellow users. I would definitely recommend this product and purchase again.

I bought 2 kits. One for each of my 2 dogs. The results were available less than 2 weeks after the company received the mailings. I found the DNA results made sense. Both dogs are from the Madras, OR Humane Society. One dog is only 65% border collie though he looks 100%. However, all the rest are other similar herding breeds. He was probably intended as working herding dog. The other dog looks like a border collie with a slightly pug nose and a beefier body, though she is only 32 lbs. She is border collie (34%) and Boston terrier (14%), plus some other herding breeds and a little more terrier. (I also learned that she has a brother in Michigan!)

Easy to do test. Took about 2 weeks from when we dropped it in the mailbox to get the results emailed back. Was accurate based on our rescue pup’s looks, but also had some fun surprises as well.

Came quickly, was easy to do and got to the lab quickly. Can’t wait to get results!
