My sons are ages 3, 5, 8, and 9. I originally purchased 4 different sets of pads so that each of my boys would have pads that not only looked different so that we could easily tell them apart, but also matched their bikes. Unfortunately, these pads were the only set that was worth anything. I read all of the reviews and thought I was purchasing pads that would protect my kids and fit them. Wrong! This JBM International set was the only set that would even stay on without sliding off. The major difference is that in addition to the very sturdy straps, this set has a stretchy material behind the pad that holds them in place - like a knee pad for volleyball does. The other sets only have straps that don't even keep the pads in place. They were too lose and slid right off - even on my 9 year old. This set by JBM stays in place on ALL my boys, regardless of their size, because of that stretchy material. However, this feature was not part of the product description so I had no way of knowing that these pads were different (better) than the other pads. They look stronger and sturdier from the picture and are a little bit more expensive but there was nothing in the description in any of the sets to explain why. I don't see the point in putting elbow and knee pads on my kids if they aren't going to stay in place. The point is to make sure my kids are protected. I sent the other 3 sets back and ordered 3 more of this set. We will either use stickers on the pads to tell them apart, or paint a dot on the back of each one with different colors of fingernail polish. Your child will be well protected with this set!!

I was wearing these while roller skating on my quads last weekend when I had a terrible accident. I was going down a hill around a corner when the path suddenly went from concrete to asphalt. Inertia! My body went flying forward and I hit the ground... hard. I hit my chin, wrists, arms, knees and right hip. The only damage I got was a scraped Jay Leno chin, bruised left knee, and road rash to my hip and right arm. The road rash is the worst! I hit the ground so hard, my left knee pad cracked. My knee is bruised a bit, but I can only imagine what other damage might have happened had I NOT been wearing these pads! A true testament to how important safety pads are, and how well these work! As far as sizing, I am 5'5" and 195 pounds and they fit me just fine.

I haven't roller skated in more than 10+ yrs and decided I wanted to start again for fun exercise. I bought these pads for protection as I didn't want to get hurt. I use the knee pads and wrist guards only.The first day I went out, I rolled over a twig and went flying forward.It happened very fast, but I didn't feel anything when I landed on the ground on my hands and knees! I was and am still amazed! I got back up right away and started skating again. I had no injuries, knee pain, scraped hands, etc, and I fell hard. I am an adult and this was one of the best purchases I've ever made. They are very comfortable too. The knee pads slide up your leg and then velcro. The padding is thick. They stay in place and do not cut in to the back of the knee, even when I skate up and down hills.

I went to a skate park trying to use for the second time my skates. For the beginning I barely kept my equliibrium but soon, I started doing some maneuvres and even got some speed. All those came with a cost: falls - many of them. I guess, it only was necessary one or two falls to take me out of there. With these pads I honestly felt about nothing. Every time I "picked up" myself, stood up immediately and continued my fun. It might sound like a cliche but, I'm grateful for having this protection. I ran for hours and got vissible progess. Meantime, a lot of people came and I noticed few of them falling. After that, their journey stoped. One guy used a skate board for a few minutes and took a hit. It must been so painful that he barely stood up making efforts not to scream from time to time. He tried to calm himself down by walking slowly outside the skate arena but after 15-20 he definitely left. That was for him: about 5 minutes skating and more than 15 minutes pain. Of course, nobody was wearing anything else than a helmet. The conclusion is a simple one: unless someone has the joints stronger than concrete, h/she must wear not only the helmet but the knees pads. And these pads are very good: they are fitting very well, are very comfortable and they don't move or loose. They are not only invaluable for joints protection but they have a more than decent price (about $23; lowered from $60).One more thing: I do my review (s) based on my own conviction without any incentives or contact from the producer, seller or Amazon. I spend out my free time because I realize how much means a product review before buying something.

I got these for my very clumsy daughter who just had to have a penny board;-). Let me say they have already saved us from using up all the bandages! She is 9 years old and they fit her great. The plastic protectors on the wrist guards are great for forward falls when they put their hands out, it prevents them from smashing their bones. They have a good amount of adjustability as well.

My daughter always hated wearing protection gear, even though I insisted. She hated it because the straps were too thin and dug into her skin because there was nothing there but the thin strap. And I'm referring to the ones you go to Target or Walmart or Academy and buy. I'll never buy those again. I ordered these because I saw that they had more of a cuff type protection that went around the arm and around the leg so it's more like a slave. The straps appeared thick and wide and it turns out they are.My daughter absolutely loves these pads. I tried them on my son and he also loves them so I ordered him a pair. My daughter's birthday is tomorrow and she wanted skates. Had to have something. So very thankful that I ordered these. They are by far the best ever. The quality is great the construction/design is amazing., for those battling with sizes I ordered my daughter who is 6 the youth size and they fit perfect. She has a little growing room. She's not a big girl either she's just normal average size 6 year old. I'm ordering my son (who is 8.5) a little bit larger size.

Haven't taken a tumble so I can't say yet whether they were decent in a fall, but as for comfort and fit they seem good. Feel sturdy and I feel like if I were to fall I have decent protection.

This make takes a lot of hammering and saved a lot of bruises and lasted for a long time

Bought these for my 10 year old son who had just started ice skating. He only uses the wrist guards, but he thinks they are great and they give him confidence when he does fall.

As an thin adult of 6ft 7" I was nervous that these pads wouldn't fit me well. But to my surprise they fitted perfectly and worked flawlessly. Highly recommend, and a great price.

these are better quality than many of the others on the market for kids... and better fit. big improvement from the ones my son had been using before.

Fit well... I ordered the adult youth pads and I'm 5ft9 and size 8 waist. I think the size is good for me.. :)

Muy buen producto, llegó en el tiempo prometido y en uy buen estado. En este aspecto Amazon me tiene por demás satisfecho.Califico con 4 estrellas porque a pesar de pedir la talla L, el material elástico (calcetín) viene demasiado estrecho, espero que con el uso se afloje un poco sin que se deforme y sea entonces 100% confortable, de ser así revisaré mi aportación. No las devuelvo porque decido darles la oportunidad y usarlas así. Precio-Calidad? Muy bueno, los materiales y el diseño son buenos en general.

THESE PADS ARE THE ONES YOU ARE LOOKING FOR!!!! DONT WASTE ANY TIME OR TRY TO SAVE MONEY ELSE WHERE. These have the elastic backing plus the straps "meaning you slide your leg/arms into them" and they will stay on! Countered to fit children 4-12 approx and priced more than competitively. Couldn't find this quality any where local especially at the price. I skate and know what I'm looking for my kids. Durable great quality thanks for an excellent product at an excellent price.

I ordered this protective gear kit, along with a cool Punisher Elephantasm board for my 7 year-old grandaughter, so protection is of the utmost importance, the quality of the protective wearables I received is outstanding. I have a friend who, for lack of sufficient protection, broke both her wrists from what appeared to be routine spill, it's hard to tell the difference between the top-of-the-line protective gear for which she paid big bucks and the items in this kit!

Habe sie mir zum Inlinescaten besorgt. Was soll ich sagen? Bin schon mehrere Male gestürzt ohne das ich mir die Hände oder Knie aufgeschürft habe. Das Hartplastik an den Handschützern ist Gold wert! Sind schon ordentlich zerkratzt aber die Haut blieb immer heile.Ich ziehe die Schützer immer über Jacke und Hose nur mit den Klettverschlüssen fest - die elastischen Überzieher sind mir zu eng (Kindergröße) aber es hält trotzdem alles prima.Insgesamt äußerst zu frieden!

Although it's not properly described on the Amazon AU site, these are the Adult version. I have to say I'm extremely satisfied with these otherwise. As per other reviews on Amazon.com they are very high quality, comfortable elastic backing and a great, adjustable fit. The wrist guards are really quick to put on and take off and are comfortable to wear whilst also still being able to use my hands. They have solid protection in front and back of the wrist without feeling intrusive or obstructive to move. I bought these for an electric skateboard and I'm happy to say I'm still able to hold and use the remote without any real hinderance which was originally a concern of mine. The material is made of textile, comfortable, padded inner lining and vinyl.

I ordered black but recieved pink, it didn't matter as i did want to get a pink pair for my niece also so just bought another black pair.So far they are excellent. I bought the adult size for my big 9 year old and for my 12 year old they fit great.
