Kings Brand Matt Black Metal Twin Size Day Bed (Daybed) Frame with Metal Slats

I had 2 xl twin 8" latex mattresses that had come with an adjustible king bed. We both have back troubles and the mattresses didn't give enough support. Instead of throwing them out or selling for nothing, as I had paid a lot for them, I ordered this daybed which accomadates the longer size of the twin mattress. I had a bunkie board and put it under the mattress for extra support as the metal slats didn't go near enough to the sides of the frame and the mattress sagged on each end, being longer than a normal twin and latex. In the review of the bed, it did say it had to be used with a regular twin size mattress which would probably fit just right. I put this in my living room which is pretty large and it's often used to lay on while watching TV and will be great for when we have overnight guest. I also already had a popup trundle that fits right underneath the daybed and so both mattresses now have a better place than just lying on the floor and if I have more than one overnight guest, I can just pull it out and pop it up. The daybed was easy to assemble and arrived earlier than expected. Came in one box. Great price.

The package arrived a week earlier than stated - nice surprise. The assembly instructions with clearly labelled parts and numbered packages of fasteners were excellently clear and easy to follow. The frame itself was a bit bowed, but once the two sides were pulled together with a tightened rope, the holes lined perfectly and the fasteners were easy to insert. No extra tools were required and it took me (70+ with arthritis) and my husband (80+ and handicapped - he just held it steady for me) just 2 hours to unpack and assemble. (a lot of that time was finding a suitable, soft bit of rope to pull the frame straight.)One small negative - the black finish is very soft. During transit the parts had obviously knocked against each other, and despite individual plastic covering the finish scraped off in 2-3 small areas. Also during assembly be very careful not to let one piece brush against another as the black finish is very "tender". All easily remedied with a small can of black and an artist's paintbrush.The finished daybed is better looking than I had anticipated and very sturdy. Absolutely read and precisely follow the instructions.

I needed an extra bed for the summer for my daughter who was home from college. This room will be converted into a playroom, however, once she leaves again in August so I wanted something that would easily convert back to something else besides a bedroom. This bed filled that need perfectly. We did not purchase the trundle since we already have a trundle for one of our other beds. So far the bed has held up very well, was easy to put together, is light weight but seems sturdy all the same. I purchased the thin mattress to go with it at first, but then changed that mattress out with a regular single bed mattress which I like much better. The bed very easily was conducive to that change.

I wanted to update my guest room from twin beds to a daybed with trundle or a futon. After shopping around online I chose this bed and a trundle. Not a pop up trundle as the reviews left me thinking they could be dangerous. This daybed and trundle arrived a day before the earliest anticipated date. My friend and I set both up within an hour. It was missing a few flat washers but I dug those out of my garage. Now for just over $300 my guest room has an entirely new look, I was able to use the matresses I had which are of a high quality so I was reluctant to part with them. While some reviews of this product said the frame bent or collapsed, I would question the level of abuse or the weight of the occupant. Ordered this King Brand Daybed from 2 K Furniture Designs through Amazon.com. Selected std shipping and received item in less than a week. One of the back headboard pieces was damaged. I contacted Amazon who forwarded the information to the seller. They requested photos of the damage which I sent to them. After sending the photos, I received the replacement part in less than a week.Assembly of this bed was made very easy by following the instructions. The bed appears to be very sturdy and well worth the price.I am very pleased with the way Amazon and 2 K Furniture Designs handled the replacement of the defective part, and would recommend this bed for anyone.

Shopped and compared many daybeds and this one wins hands down for the money! I did not buy the trundle piece since I did not need it. You will need an extra set of hands to help with assembly. Product arrived before estimated delivery date, all pieces were in the box. Appearance-wise, the daybed looks exactly as it was pictured on Amazon. No problems as of yet with the piece, though I have had it only a few weeks now. It seems very sturdy and I am very pleased with the product and delivery service!

I received the bed quickly and I was excited to get it assembled. Once the box was opened and parts laid out, we realized the first page of the directions were missing, as well as the allen wrench. My husband figured out where all the screws etc. went, but it would have been easier with the instructions. I like the bed and it fits perfectly in a small space at our beach house used for our grandchildren.

Good bed frame. Very happy with my purchase. Only thing is make sure u get a very thick or very good quality of mattress because u can feel all the bars from the bed.
