The Best Instant Boba Pearls I’ve Found (and I’ve Tried A LOT!)
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ As someone who is completely addicted to boba tea, I’ve tried at least 10 different brands of instant tapioca pearls over the years trying to recreate my favorite drinks at home. These are hands-down the best I’ve found—and they’re one of the most affordable options too. What really sets these apart is how easy they are to prepare. I simply put the pearls in a cup of water and microwave them for about 90 seconds, and they come out perfectly chewy every time. No long boiling process, no waiting forever, and no complicated instructions. Making boba at home has saved me a ton of money. Instead of spending $6–$8 every time a craving hits, I can make exactly what I want whenever I want it. Plus, I get complete control over the sweetness level and ingredients in my drink. The texture is spot-on—soft, chewy, and satisfying without being mushy. I also keep the bag stored in my refrigerator to help maintain freshness, and they’ve held up great. Why I keep repurchasing: ✔ Ready in about 90 seconds ✔ Great chewy texture ✔ Much cheaper than buying boba shop drinks ✔ Lets me customize sweetness and ingredients ✔ Consistently better than other instant brands I’ve tried ✔ Great value for the price If you’re a fellow boba lover looking for an easy and affordable way to make drinks at home, these are absolutely worth trying. They’ve become a permanent staple in my kitchen! 🧋❤️

Great for boba at home!
We love these tapioca pearls!! Easy to cook, chewy, yummy! The microwave instructions are just right too. This is my 3rd time buying them and I accidentally got a single bag instead of the 2-pack. I’m mad at myself.

Delicious!
Delicious! Boiled it and it cooked in 5minutes! We were getting tired of getting hard, stale and over-cooked boba for $7+ at restaurants so we decided to try making our own. Really impressed by this product. Quality boba you'd find at your best boba shop that's never done you wrong (of course you gotta cook it right yourself though)

Surprisingly Fresh and Easy-to-Make Boba!
I was initially concerned about the packaging not being airtight, based on some of the reviews I had read. However, I didn’t experience that issue at all—everything arrived in perfect condition. Once the water is boiling, the boba cooks quickly and starts floating within minutes. Overall, it’s a great option if you’re looking for nearly ready-to-eat boba with minimal prep.

SURPRISED MYSELF!
First let me say that I'm a self-admitted, horrible cook. My husband claims I could screw up a wet dream. Yes, I'm that bad. I'm addicted to bubble tea but wanted to make my own, sugar-free version at home since I'm watching my sugar intake. Though I asked the cafe to hold the added sugar, the syrup was still over-the-top with sweetness. They informed me that they do not offer a sugar-free syrup though they are available. So I had to experiment on my own. Here's my recipe for home-made, sugar-free bubble tea. Steep a green tea bag, cook tapioca pearls per instructions on bag (make sure to rinse thoroughly with cold water after cooking), then add lots of ice and Crystal Light Passion Fruit/Mango liquid to the tea for added flavor and sweetness. It was a delicious success for my first attempt! How wonderful is that for a self-confessed, lousy cook! Now about the tapioca pearls which easily cooked to perfection--the best ever in taste and texture plus very easy to make. Honestly, surprised myself as the consistency of the tapioca rivaled that of the bubble tea cafes. Now I keep a container of cooked tapioca handy for my own version of Crystal Light Passion Fruit/Green Tea bubble tea. Intend on branching out to other flavors of bubble tea using Crystal Light as my sweetener and/or "syrup" base. Please try my recipe if you'd like to enjoy bubble tea without all the calories. I'm tickled to be able to enjoy bubble tea any time of the day now, without having to travel and plus pay high, cafe prices for my fix. For a little more than I pay for one serving of bubble tea at the cafe, I can buy 2 lbs. of this wonderful tapioca which will lend for lots of servings of tea! As for the tapioca, I'm sold on this brand and so happy I did my research before placing my order. You won't be disappointed in the quality, consistency, flavor and texture of these tapioca pearls. They are perfection!

Definitely worth it.
These are great. I’m a boba addict and was tired of spending ~$7 for a boba. Just takes about 3 minutes in the microwave and I get near-store-quality boba for a tiny fraction of the price. Definitely recommend! Try adding a little honey ;-)

Just like the boba shops!
As a boba fiend I’ve been looking for ways to cut costs for my sweet treat addiction, and this was the hail mary i’ve been looking for to do just that! I’ve started to make my own thai tea at home, and was looking to see if it was possible to make my own tapioca as well. Normally I spend around $7 for boba in my area, and for $12 I have enough boba for 20 (yes 20!) servings to make at home. not only do i save a ridiculous amount of money on just the pearls itself, but also on the gas and time it would take for me to go to the restaurant and order one, when this took me around 15 minutes total to make at home. Plus I can control the amount of sugar content I put as someone who’s trying to be a little more health conscious (my rule of thumb is 4 tbsp brown sugar for every cup of boba). Plus you can control how soft or firm you want to cook them. They’re foolproof to make, and seriously delicious, paralleling the quality I would typically drink at a restaurant. highly HIGHLY recommend for someone who’s looking to save some money and have more control over your food ingredients!

Easy to use and very delicious!
I love this brand!! I actually ended up cooking mine differently than the package because I was influenced by tiktok and it turned out so good! I boil water and throw them in, STIR A LOT, for 5 mins. 10 cups per one cup of boba. Then I turn the heat off and let them sit for 5 mins. They turn out SO soft and chewy on the inside! Then obviously I strain them and stir in brown sugar to sweeten them. Don't skip that step. It helped them to turn that darker color and adds some sweetness to them. I usually put mine with ice and then add peach green tea over them. Turns out exactly like my local boba shop!! So I get a boba shop level drink in only 10 mins and it's super easy! I've also probably have gotten about 10 drinks out of them and I've only used half the bag!! But I also use a lot of boba each time because I love them!

I adore these!
I was a bit skeptical at first, the last time I bought 5 minute boba online, it took 45 minutes to cook them properly. These are the real deal and fantastic! I will be buying more, and probably very soon by how fast I am going through them. My recipe is this: boil water in a pot until it reaches a fast boil, then add the amount of boba you want to cook (I generally want a lot for a mug, so do about 1/3 - 1/2 cup in my second smallest pot), give them a stir after you dump them in. Watch them as this goes very fast. In a bout 1-2 minutes they will all float to the surface, at this point put a lid on the pot and take it off the heat. Keep it covered for 5 minutes for cooked through and chewy boba! If you want less chewy and more melt-in-your-mouth/mushy boba, leave them in the pot with the lid on longer. Drain, and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process. At this step you can add a sweetener to the boba or flavor them, or if you don't like them sweetened (like me), just add them to your tea. Very tasty! My package came in great shape and in very good time.

Product arrived on time and was as expected. However $50 for 1lb of boboa seems crazy, if it weren’t for a gift I wouldn’t have bought it. That said, these are great boboas easy to make, good texture etc.
