We really like our chairs! They look nice and feel sturdy. They are pretty comfortable considering they are metal (and you could add seat cushions). With two people they are pretty easy to put together, but it was somewhat of a struggle alone - the tops of the chairs have to be pulled open to be screwed onto the base, which really needs two people. It does appear that the paint scratches relatively easy if scraped with metal (I accidentally scraped a couple areas when trying to put them together alone). However overall I think for the price it’s an excellent purchase and I’m very happy!

We chose the off white and they are perfect! Great quality, very sturdy and came in perfect condition.

I've purchased these twice and I'm pretty pleased with them. I bought them for my dining room to lend sort of an industrial chic look to the place. My first set were all black. They chairs are stamped and welded. The backs are assembled with four hex head bolts that attach one on each side and two on the back. These are made in China, but what isn't? It would appear these chairs are sold all over under a variety of names and manufacturers. I've seen them offered in a dozen colors or more.When I purchased the black ones each chair came with it's own hex key wrench and bolts, attached nicely to the bottom of each chair. Setup time isn't long and what I especially liked was that the bolts were also painted black. No defects or issues at all with the black chairs. All of them come with black rubber feet integrated so that I don't have to worry about a scratching up the hardwood.In my set of red chairs there is only one hex key wrench included and all 16 bolts were in a single bag in the bottom of the box. I was a little bummed that the bolts are silver in color and not painted to match. One of the chairs had two super tiny dents in the seat. I'm not too upset because you really have to be looking for them. The hex key wrench included with this set didn't seem to fit as snugly as those that came with the black chairs.These chairs by other sellers sometimes look too glossy, so I specifically chose these because they have more of a matte/satin finish to them. However, the red is not quite a true red. It has just a little bit of an orange or rust tint added to it. I don't mind it. Part of my plan was to paint two of these red chairs with a special galvanized paint effect anyway so that I have four black, two red, and two silver colored chairs. It simply that much cheaper to buy the 4-pack than two 2-packs and I'm not afraid of a little sweat equity.Some other sellers of this chair try to class them up a little with a wooden seat and sell them for twice as much. That's something I might do in the future. I know these aren't handmade from North American hardwoods or anything, but I like the look and I'm not going to be made to feel bad for not spending more on a dining room seating.They are stackable, which is great. However, it seems like you might wear the paint down eventually if you are always stacking and unstacking them. Some of the paint schemes offered included distressed paint, so that might add to you aesthetic over time. Overall a great price for four steel chairs.

I was worried because of so many negative reviews BUT these chairs are perfect! Super easy to assemble & very sturdy. They did come with very minor dents but you are ordering metal chairs & shipping companies aren’t perfect. I’ve seen a lot of reviews with the backs bent & IMO for that to happen you would have to lean back with a lot of force! (Indoor use for dining room table)

Not only are these classic Tolix Marais style chairs attractive (I LOVE the matte black finish) and comfortable, but I got all four for just $99.99 taxes & shipping included. You can’t even find chairs that inexpensive at IKEA for pete's sake! These are well made; constructed from solid steel that feels sturdy and strong, yet is surprisingly light too making them easy to lift for stacking . They were delivered SO quickly! I ordered them on Sep. 22 and they were delivered to my door midday on Sep. 24. They came carefully packaged, arriving in pristine condition, and were very easy to assemble. It took just four screws to attach each back to the seat (the screws & Allen keys are all included). In no more than 30 minutes the chairs went from a few parts in a box, to fully assembled and tucked up to my dining table. I love them! They are exactly what I wanted in terms of style and quality, and the super afforable price was a definite bonus! I could not be more pleased with my purchase and I absolutely would not hesitate to recommend/order from this company again.

Package arrived well ahead of estimated delivery date and in good shape. Products are properly padded. No scratch was found. Chairs are well painted and well built overall. The paint job is more than enough for everyday use, though not much to write about. Installation is easy, only to tighten 4 screws on a chair. 2 back screws holes are well prepared and easy to work with. It takes more time on 2 side screws than the back ones. Some to all chairs, so it may be by design. After daily use for almost one month, no need to tight any screw. It is a solid chair but not luxury.Chairs are very clean. I wiped them with damp cloth before installation, and it is not necessary. It is very easy to clean. I put chair pads on them, so don't comment on sitting on metal surface directly. You may forget it is a metal chair if you put a soft puffy pad on it. Chair size is medium and good for my family and small dining space. If you want a large chair with armrests, go for another design. Plastic footpads are helpful to protect wood floor. It can be used both indoor and outdoor. I don't like sitting in the rain, neither these chairs.Satisfied with the purchase.

Good quality and easy to assemble. Don't really understand the black lines on the cornering parts but it still looks great.

We use these chairs when we have extra company and they are fairly comfortable to sit and have a meal. They have a bistro style look and go great with our extra solid wood table that can fold to a side table and the chairs do not take up alot of room and look great with the side table or full table display.
