Mr and Mrs Smith Hotel Collection: France

I was completely disappointed with this product, and won't be buying anymore of their guides. The range of hotels is dismal (only 1 in most locations and 2 in Rome/Florence etc!!!). Local information is also virtually non-existent (a couple of ad hoc paragraphs) and certainly not worth the price of the book. You'll find incomparably more information as well as a wonderful range of hotels in guidebooks, which I might add are also cheaper, such as Fodor's, not to mention more pictures. Even the picture, paper and book quality are shocking (within 1 minute of opening it the pages are already loose on the spine).In fact I'm not sure what the point of this book really is; it fails in every respect and seems to purely serve as a marketing gimmick (they include a card offering membership for their shocking limited and overpriced travel services) for their travel booking service, which I would never use as it seems to be completely useless, as is their website.Don't waste your money!

They even hooked us up by upgrading our rooms as it was our honeymoon. Every hotel we stayed at (Riva Lofts in Florence & Capo La Gala in Sorrento) the staff was welcoming and so nice. They really did a great job of picking out the best hotels. I encourage everyone to use Mr & Mrs Smith!
