I was dubious when purchasing these dynamos. The price was ridiculously low, and the stated functions seemed too good to be true. I worried for no reason. These two units both work great. The solar works pretty good, and the dynamo works really good. Stations were a teeny bit hard to tune in for fm, but after a moment I figured it out. The light is very bright, good enough to sew by. THe unit has all sorts of adapters to charge things. Mini din usb, mini usb, usb male, usb female, even a crApple adapter! I haven't had the chance to stress test them, but from all I can see, they are quality devices and I wholeheartedly recommend them. I can tell you this, the feedback from the dynamo as you turn it gives me the impression of quality. In addition to all of the above: the unit has a slightly rubbery/grippy feel to it without being overly grippy. One last thing, and never forget this: 2 is 1, and 1 is none. ALWAYS buy prepper gear in sets of two!!!

This radio arrived 3 days prior to the scheduled delivery date. Very fast service. The radio works very well in the FM mode. I love the fact that you can charge not only the radio with the hand crank but it comes with a variety of connectors that enable you to charge any portable device that uses a USB , mini USB port, or a motorola connector. The radio can also be charged using your computer USB port. So by charging the radio in this manor you can also use your computer USB port to charge all of these other devices. I can only receive one Weather radio channel but that may be the only one that my area has. But that signal works very well inside my home, so that is all I need. The LED flashlight has a very nice bright beam. I would definitely recommend this product and company to others.

I'm pretty certain this is the same radio as the more expensive and popular Ambient Weather WR-089. I don't have the WR-089, but based on the pictures they look identical. I like the size and weight of this radio as well as the fact that it comes with two for the price. It seems durable, though I wish it were weatherproof or at least weather resistant (I keep mine in quart size ziplock bags to get around this issue). The light isn't very bright, but I wasn't expecting too much in this area. One issue I have is that the Weather Band stations are really hard to dial in thanks to the analog tuner. Digital tuned radios are really easy to get lined up with WB stations, which would be a good reason to spend for a fancier radio. But with some patience these can work just fine. I am happy with my purchase and will be putting these into some emergency kits.

I chose this product because the price was twenty dollars less than a similar radio at our local retail stores...and we got TWO for that price! It has been wonderful during tornado weather as my spouse and I can each have one. When the power went out, one of us kept the kids entertained and calmed with music while the other checked the weather using the emergency weather option. We also used it when camping, and the flashlight battery life was awesome compared to a wind up lantern we own. I had charged it during the day using the solar panel & used it all night (camping w/ small children...so it was literally used almost ALL night), and I didn't have to crank charge it at all. I highly recommend this product and am very happy with its performance to date.

I bought two of these units primarily due to the sustainable nature of operation; if not charged when needed, a little handpowered crank gets you going. Fortuitously, I had an extended power outage within th week of purchase and pressed these devices into service. The flashlight portion of the device works, and is marginally bright. In pitch darkness, you can see your way around, but the throw is not long on these. The radio worked well, both in weather band and AM/FM. The one feature that I'd hoped would work better was the phone recharger. If you own a smartphone, this device will not provide sufficient charge rate to sustain a charge. On my Android, I got a message stating that the (phone) device was using power faster than it was being charged and to disable some features to reduce battery drain. Even with the screen on the lowest setting and all radios except 3G turned off, the charge rate was not sufficient. I have since found other devices that are better suited to charging larger phones. I still recommend this device in case of emergencies as a mobile light source and a means to stay connected by radio.

Charged for over 2 days in very bright daylight in my patio (not direct sun light). unfortunately I only get about 5-8 minutes of radio, if cranked I was getting 1-2 minutes if lucky. I purchased two of them, only to find the same issue with the second one. The phone charger does not work at all, I have a standard non fancy LG phone, it should not have been an issue in my opinion. These units really disappointed me while on a camping trip. The only positive thing is the light, and at that it was just fair. I used it to help me find my good flashlight and snacks buried in my messy tent. Unfortunately you will get what you pay for in this product. Just my two cents.

I searched for a long time to find this combination in an emergency radio. The features and size make it the perfect addition to my bug out bag. It will even charge my cell phone under a light in an office without cranking it. I can't help but think of the photo of people huddled around power strips in bank lobbies in New York after Superstorm Sandy trying to charge their devices to keep in touch with their cyber world. This will provide the juice to keep the smart phone running, in touch with the news and light the way. Get one for yourself, and give one as a gift to someone you want to be prepared.

Absolutely Love these little hand crank solar powered weather radio/flashlight/power namk charging station with NOAA,AM,FM radio? This is an ALL IN ONE that works great and does exactly what it says and come with not just 1 but 2 of them! Perfect to keep one in purse, diaper bag, car, etc and keep the other one in the house or give it to a friend. I personally keep mine in my purse and gave the 2nd one to my mom. Seriously a great gift idea for Christmas stocking stuffers as well for the older kiddos or the ones who enjoy camping, the flashlight is super bright and I am thoroughly pleased with my purchase and would highly recommend these to ANYONE and EVERYONE

It seems to work great as a flashlight and radio. This will be great in emergency situations. I also like the fact that it's so small. It barely takes any room in the glove compartment of my car. However, it's not built in a way that makes it easy to hold onto while you crank it. I would have over looked this issue if only it would have been conpatible with my iPhone 5 and my Mom's iPhone 5S. It charged for a moment (a few times), but then would say on the iPhone screen that the accessory may not be compatible and then it stops charging. Yes, I tried cranking it for nearly 5 minutes to see if that would make a difference. I even tried cranking it while the iPhone was connected. Nope, didn't charge, not even 1%. It kept discontinuing the charging. I ordered this specific item because it said it IS compatible with iPhones. Note also that it doesn't make any such claim on the actual box. Now I don't know if it's just the wires that came with it that aren't compatible. Perhaps it would work if I purchased some new wires that guarantee to work with the iPhone.
