Great tool
Up front, I don't use this the way it was intended.Since it's fairly skin safe, I use this as an exfoliator on the larger, flatter areas of skin. This makes a great scraper(not slicer!) to remove softened skin after a shower or soak.

NOT well made.
I did not like the fact that the tool literally fell apart the first time I tried to use it. It is sturdy at all.

A bit annoying
I didn’t realize the auto retract feature was a thing on this model. So that is a bit annoying as it auto retracts the blade and you have to keep it pushed down to use the blade.

Just okay
The lock on it does absolutely nothing. You’d think it is to keep the blade out and stop it from automatically retracting but it does not. On or off, no difference.

uncomfortable, flimsy, and does not scrape.
Maybe I got a defective one but it was flimsy plastic housing that when you pushed in a scraping motion the housing separates, the blade does not stay retracted even with finger pressure on the button. Very cumbersome and awkward to use and it didn't scrape anything off. Just made gouges in the blade.

Blade does not lock in place for use!!
Except for this item most Slice products are great. The first one I ordered did not lock the blade in place , so I returned it and ordered another one and that one did not lock the blade in place either. Buy any other Slice product except this one!!

Can't lock open
I get it, you have to hold the button down to use it, and the button sits in a dip so you're not fighting it, but as soon as you let go the blade is gone and that was unexpected (auto, I get it now). Didn't mark white tiles. Comfy to hold. Basically okay.

Blade does not lock in place
Like another reviewer found the blade does NOT lock into place. I opened it to check the mechanism and can see no way for it to lock, as the spring just pushes it out of place - there is no 'lock'. Badly designed imo. Gives your hand cramp to hold it in place. Also the blade isn't completely flat. The ends hit the surface not the middle. It does this on any surface I tried, ie hob, oven door glass, worktop. So is definitely the blade. I would NOT recommend this particular item.
