Apple iPhone 1G Soft Polycarbonate Slim fit Case -Silver -Cozip Brand

UPDATE: Within 2 months of owning this and 'regular use', the case has changed colors.. it's much more of a copper tint than the original silver that matches the iPhone 2G. It's also gotten quite scratched up on the back (and because of the type of case, it's very noticeable). The grip and case itself are still working great, it's just looking pretty ugly. If looks are important to you (and if you're using the original iPhone 4 1/2 years later, they may not be : , you might want to consider buying a couple of these (at a couple bucks each, that's easy to do). If you don't care about looks, it still works just fine despite the discoloring/scratches.The iPhone 1 (aka "2G"), at time of writing this, came out about 4 1/2 years ago. This makes it difficult (or expensive) to find ANY case for it, so I was happy to see this.I previously had a Belkin rubber-grip case which I loved, but over those 4.5 years it became very loose and actually caused the iPhone to fall out more than protect it. Not wanting to spend the high-prices on a replacement, I found this case.This one is a Silver model - it also comes in colors like Black, but those are more expensive so I went with the Silver. It matched the iPhones' silver nicely (only slightly off in color). It snaps onto the back easily, and has a hole cut out for the Apple logo and camera.The plastic case covers the back completely (except for those 2 holes) and wraps around the sides, leaving open-areas for the MUTE button, Vol+/-, dock connector, headphone jack and power button.The case holds in place very tightly and won't fall out on it's own. It also doesn't cover the screen (which I actually like).If you drop the phone, I doubt this will do much/anything to protect it. It's very thin/low-profile (which, again, I like as it doesn't add a lot of extra bulk to the iPhone), but most importantly for me is the nice almost rubberized grip it gives the iPhone (making it much easier to hold (to prevent slipping)). If the back of your iPhone is scratched up (it's a 4.5 year old phone, so it probably is like mine) this will make it look new again.Unfortunately the case is easily scratched on the back - I left mine in a pocket with keys ONE TIME for about an hour while walking around and it has large permanent marks on the back now.Overall it's not perfect - little protection from drops/falls, but you'll get the most benefit out of the much better grip it provides (hopefully preventing you from dropping it in the first place!), and it makes your scratched up iPhone 1 look somewhat new again. For the 3-bucks it cost (shipped), it was totally worth it. I'd say it's worth 10-bucks, but probably wouldn't pay more than that.

This is the perfect case to protect the backside of the iPhone. It's sleek, cool-looking and is at most 1 mm thick. It comes in a variety of colors (I chose the silver to simulate the natural finish of the iPhone). As for the feel and texture of the case, it does have a silicone feel to it and definitely does not have the sure grip that a rubber case would have, but has enough grip to prevent slippage from the hands (which happens alot with the iPhone without any case). Although it is thin, it is sturdy enough to do its job. I've already dropped my iPhone one time already onto a concrete ground without any consequences, except for some scratches and a couple of dents on the case. If you're looking for a case that just protects the backside (I bought a front screen protector from the Apple store), then this is the best one out there, hands down.

I really didn't want to get a case for my Iphone and ruin its sleek look, but after dropping it a few times and scratching up the sides, I decided to start shopping. I wanted a case that wouldn't add too much bulk to the phone(would still fit in my pant pocket),that wouldn't collect lint as other cases tend to do, and most importantly would protect the phone if dropped again. This case fits all these criteria very well. The downsides to this case are:1. As other reviewers mentioned. The phone will not fit in the charger dock when the case is on. Although, I don't think any of the cases are small enough to fit in the dock.2. The price seems excessive, 14.99 + 5.98 shipping. It seems that the seller, JoWow, is more concerned with maximizing profit than with establishing a loyal customer base.

I spent a lot of time researching iPhone cases before finally deciding to go with this one, and I can honestly say I couldn't be happier with my decision! A 'naked' iPhone is actually a bit to thin and slippery to comfortably use on a daily basis, and the rubberized silicone cases are impossible to pull in and out of a pocket. This case solves both of those problems, and looks great doing it. Other iPhone owners always ask where I got it, and some have even gone on to purchase it themselves to be equally satisfied. My friends who don't have an iPhone are shocked when I pop it out of the case - they thought it was part of the phone! It has a great feel that really is hard to describe - it's a "soft" texture on a very hard surface. Strange, but it couldn't be a more comfortable surface for something that you touch many times throughout the day. You'll be very happy with this case!

Barely feels like there is a case on your phone. Offers an acceptable level of protection without adding bulk. It works very well for normal use. The case has a texture to it that makes gripping the phone easier. I eventually went to Otterbox but that was cause I am a contractor and I wanted more protection.This should be enough protection for most iPhone users.

Not a lot to say here except this case is great! It fits the iPhone like a glove, adding almost no extra bulk to the unit. I went for the silver color as I wanted to maintain the original color scheme of the iPhone.The case slips on easy and has a very slight rubberized feel to it, adds just enough grip to make the phone feel secure in your hand, while not making it difficult to remove from a front jeans pants pocket.The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I'm not so sure why the case at the top doesn't fully extend all the way to the corners. Although chances are, if it falls it won't hit these exposed points, but Murphy's law usually proves otherwise! ;) Other than that, this is one fantastic case, well worth the money and somewhat pricey shipping for such a light item.Don't hesitate...get this case! And go with the silver color! ;)
