Worth a try!
I was skeptical to make this purchase because of the negative reviews. Many said the box leaked horribly and the soap was cumbersome to dispense.I didn’t find either to be the case. When I got the box, I just made sure to read the instructions on how to set up the nozzle and then, eyeballing it, I made sure to twist the nozzle in the right direction so it lined up properly. In other words, you have to make sure that the dispenser opening is at the “6-o’clock” position so that it will dispense into the cup and not all over your hand. Then, I put a small washcloth underneath the nozzle to collect any drips. After about a week, I noticed there weren’t any. So leakage diverted!I’m now on my second box and still no issues. So far it’s been great and I appreciate the alternative to a plastic container. Of course the soap comes inside a plastic bag, which is inside the paper box, but that uses far less plastic than a regular jug. So, you can rest assure you’re making a tiny difference in the single-use plastic dilemma.Okay, now for the real question: how does it smell and how well does it clean. 5 stars to both! The scent is pleasant but not too perfumey and it cleans a bit better than most plant-based formulas. I’ve tried (Trader Joe’s, 365, Ecos, Zum, Kirkland Ultraclean, Biokleen). So..if you’re on the fence, I say give it a go! I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Great way to buy a great detergent. Keep your last bottle for refills
This is a great way to buy this detergent without tossing the usual plastic bottles into the recycle bin ever month or so. Sure, it has packaging but it flattens to almost nothing.Keep your last plastic bottle though for refills. It just works a little bit better that way in my experience instead of having to manage the flow out of a new container of this, or waiting for it to trickle out after you're getting towards the bottom of what you have left. I've found it better to just use this to refill a used purclean 65oz bottle and dispense it from there. The scent is nice and subtle and leaves clothes smelling a little bit fresher than the unscented version which maybe sounds obvious but it's nice to have that hint of freshness. It's barely noticeable but I definitely prefer it to the unscented - and I'm not a fan of detergents with overpowering smells to them. The spout is maybe my only issue with this product. It's going to pour out of the hole at a little bit of an angle when you first open it due just to the force of the full bag of liquid wanting to make it's way out so watch out for it and as long as you're expecting it, you won't have an issue. Probably goes without saying that the first time we bought this we weren't expecting it to come flying out and ended up with some on the floor.Other than that it's a great product. We have a family member with sensitive skin in a couple of places and they haven't had an issue since switching to Tide PurClean after trying a few different detergents over the years, and it gets clothes clean which is the bottom line right?

Plant Based and Smells Great
I brought this after I smelled my sister doing laundry one day and I asked about the gorgeous scent! I normally don't like scented things but this is beautiful (but strong, so if you don't like strong scents, this may not be for you). It cleans amazingly and it plant based. Also, it arrived in a recyclable container which is huge for me. Less environmental impact, and all the cleaning you would expect from Tide. I hope they never stop making this!

Glad to have this option
Tide Purclean Plant-Based Epa Safer Choice Natural Laundry Detergent has performed well. Things come out cleaner than with some of the other "natural" detergents I've tried. I'm sensitive to chemical odors but the smell of this is not overwhelming. The clothes don't keep the scent after washing, they just smell clean. I like the cardboard packaging, too. I would feel better if it was powdered, which is kinder to the environment than liquids, but I guess you can't have everything.

The BEST detergent money can buy
I've been using Tide for years. It's the only detergent that doesn't irritate my sensitive skin. The original Tide was good, but after time, my clothes didn't feel or smell as clean. Two years ago, there was a ridiculous sale on Pureclean at my grocery store, so I gave it a shot, and have been using it since.Scent- sweet, slightly strong, but not overbearing.Packaging- the eco-box is annoying, so I refill one of my Tide containers. After the box is "empty", I open it to the bag inside. Still enough detergent for at least 1-2 more loads.Value- a little goes a long way. My clothes feel soft and clean after every wash, and I don't use/need fabric softener. It does an excellent job cleaning/removing makeup on face mask. Quite impressed. Delivers results at a great price. Happy customer.

a workhorse in the ECO category
We normally use Clean People small sheets. With this Product, TIDE is trying to position itself in the growing ECO detergent category. I wish they'd omit the scent. Too assertive for a "sensitive" like me. But, my husband says it really works for super dirty loads. I bought our 1st soft package version at Target. They do not carry it anymore. Too bad.
