I am so amazed at how sleek and functional this flat iron is! It operates like a high quality, expensive flat iron. It is so ergonomical! It is easy to twirl and curl! I ordered this flat iron. It's hard to see where you turn it on (the tiny power button is in the middle of 3 tiny gold bars on the side of the iron. After it heated, I started with the first small section of hair, but my hair slipped right through the iron. After several attempts, the same thing kept happening. When the iron was completely cool, I inserted a piece of paper in the iron, and it too slid right out. I could actually see light between the two wands/ Apparently the iron did not close completely, so I returned it for a replacement. The replacement arrived yesterday; it's nice and tight and does the job. Also, it's a LOT less expensive than several other models. So all in all, I think it's a good deal but I need to practice a bit to get the result I'm looking for (not the fault of this particular flat iron).
