The older I get the more I need my glasses, which doesn't work if you have to put on eye makeup. Standing behind the sink is too far away for me to see what I'm doing. When I was younger and had a bigger countertop, I would sit on the countertop to do my eye makeup. Not an option anymore! I had a hard time deciding where to install it but the installation itself was easy. It extends out past the sink so I can see my face to do my makeup. However the 7x magnification does make your imperfections more obvious than I like, no one wants to see their wrinkles like that! I usually use the regular size unless I'm plucking my eyebrows. It's made very sturdy and I like that it was available in black. I did not get the LED version so no issues with batteries.

DO NOT BUY, READ REVIEWS FIRST!! I rarely if ever give bad reviews and this would get negative stars if possible! It seems about half of the mirrors are perfect but the rest all have the same major issue...they don't open for batteries. This thing is solid as a rock you can't open it where it's supposed to "easily twist and open". Problem being for the light of the lighted mirror to work you HAVE to open it to put batteries in it! I asked the question of why this is consistently occurring in this mirrors manufacturing and received answers from 4 customers but nothing from the company. They have been completely unresponsive when all I want is to get the mirror to work properly. I am handicapped and unfortunately was hospitalized when it came in so I did not make the 30 day return. I now have a $30 lighted mirror that does not light for a wall paperweight. Please read the reviews!! I didn't and I should have known better. Over half have the same issue mine has, they will not open for the batteries thus making them a plain yet heavy mirror. I bought a lighted mirror at a thrift shop for $8 that sits on the counter to use and it works perfectly.. We are going to attempt to cut the mirror in half. If we find out what the manufacturing defect is and a way to solve it, I will post it in case you get stuck like me. I would strongly recommend buying this from another retailer. There are plenty and sometimes paying $5 more for quality is so completely worth it! I have had to learn from my mistake and hope it can help you before you end up with the frustration this has caused too!

I like that it has a magnifying side and a regular side.

A bit complicated to install but it works as expected and I am glad I have it. It is good for me as my vision isn't great.

This mirror didn't come with any instructions for installation or use. The hinges and supporting bars are made of cheap plastic that is very stiff & hard to maneuver. I suspect this would actually damage the wall it's attached to with how much force you need to move it. But worst of all - it's basically impossible to open the mirror up to add batteries. I had several of my strongest, fittest friends, family, and roommates attempt to rotate & pull the mirror apart, as the only defining sticker on the thing has two arrows for twisting it open/closed, and even after much heaving and twisting, we couldn't pry the thing apart. Not even with tools wedged into the cracks! I'm returning it after much disappointment. Goes to show you get what you pay for.

The product is attractive and functions well. LED light is bright and well-located. My only complaint is that it's near impossible to get the mirrors separated to install batteries. I hope the batteries last a long time because I dread having to go through that hassle again. It was painful!

I was at a hotel resort and one of these was in the room and I never realized how much I wanted one till then. Works great! I have one now in my bedroom by my bureau mirror and I don't know how I'll be without it

Smaller viewing area than desired/neededd and the light is less than functional. The magnification is good, however. The arms and lens were really stiff and it ended up coming off the wall while I struggled with them to get the proper position. Would not recommend this for men/shaving/etc.
