Whole food, Plant Based Cooking is Delicious!
While I have only made a handful of the recipes so far, I love reading the ingredient list and not thinking "OH, I have to substitute that ingredient" or worse, "those ingredients" to make the recipe whole-food. I don't want to add lots of useless fats, and sugars to my foods. Empty calories that do a body harm. Thank you, Jill! Blessings.

A must have for anyone trying to lead a WFPB lifestyle!
I went vegan in 2017 and I followed a whole food plant-based lifestyle for the first six months. I didn’t have any experience with eating vegan before that, and I thought that it was the right way to eat — my energy levels increased, I lost over 40 lbs without even trying and I got off all my blood pressure medication... and then I started eating vegan junk food, because I thought I could now that I was thinner and in better health than I ever was before. But, a lot of the old issues I had came back soon afterwards, but me, thinking that I was healthy just because I ate vegan, didn’t even notice them until I went to the doctor for checkup. I had gained a bit more weight again (not 40 lbs, but about half of that), my blood pressure was higher again and I knew that going back to whole food plant-based vegan lifestyle was the right thing to do for me.That is how I discovered Jill and the Whole Food Plant-Based Cooking Show on her YouTube channel and she became my favorite go to when I was trying to be healthy again, but couldn’t focus because I was so used to vegan junk food and vegan substitutions for cheese at that point. Jill kept me stay on track and swap all the junk with healthy, wholesome versions of the same foods that I already loved and enjoyed. When I heard this cookbook was coming out, I knew I had to get it!It is an ESSENTIAL item to arm yourself with in the battle against chronic disease that plague the modern world. I love the cooking show and I look forward to new episodes every Saturday morning, but having this book is a true blessing because it is so much easier to pick it off the shelf and just open a page and find out a nice, healthy and wholesome recipe for any time of the day, instead of having to browse through the library. The fact that there is a QR code on top of every page that takes you straight to the video makes where Jill will show you how to make it step-by-step makes this book nothing sort of revolutionary! If you have doubts about it, set them aside and buy it right now! The photography is marvelous, the text is concise and to the point and it will be the best $20 you will spend in your life! I can’t wait for their next cookbook because I will be buying it for sure! Keep the good work up, you guys, and let’s continue spreading the message!

Delicious, Easy and Healthy Recipes!!
This was exactly what I was looking for. I have turned to plant based eating to help with inflammation. The collection of recipes have helped me so much. I appreciate all the time and hard work put into this book. Highly recommend!

I gave it a 4 star I wish it would have had more main dish recipes because I don't eat a lot of desserts but the desserts look good and easy to make and I do love her Whole food plant based cooking show that have a lot of free recipes I give that site a 5 star.

Easy Recipes, easy to find ingredients 😃
I love that some of the dessert recipes contain peanut butter! I also love that the ingredients in the recipes are basic staples that I already have in my kitchen. There are no weird rare hard-to-find ingredients. Plus, the ingredient list is not a thousand items long. Love these recipes and lots of photos, too!

Perfect...once you get it bound!! Desserts are the star!!
Very accessible plant based, oil free, sugar free, gluten free, whole food recipes. Jill keeps things simple. There is a picture with EVERY recipe! AND a QR code linking to a video for EVERY recipe! My 4 year old and I have been choosing a recipe or two each week to try. First we watch the video then we make it. She just loves pretending we are on a cooking show like Jill.We have tried 25 recipes so far and have liked all but 5 of them. That is the most success I’ve ever had with a cookbook!A few of our favorites (so far)...- Entrees: black bean soup, carrot hot dogs- Desserts: caramel apple cake, PB blizzard (in photo), PB cookies, PB cup fudge, chocolate pudding, lemon muffins, banana bread- Salads: roasted potato salad and waldorf saladMy only recommendations would be to have an index by ingredient. It is a bit tricky if I am looking for a recipe but don’t remember it’s exact name. For example, the potato salad is not under “p” for potato, but rather under “r” since it is called “Roasted Potato Salad.” But it is a minor flaw! Secondly, it would be nice to have a spiral bound version. Since we use it so often, I brought it to Office Max and had it bound for $5. Now it lays flat! Perfect!Buy this book along with a huge tub of dates and giant bags of cashews and oats because you’ll be enjoying so many yummy desserts!

This is IT!
I adore the simplicity of these recipes! Nothing feels overwhelming and I generally have all the necessary ingredients on hand. I’m making the transition from a “vegan health halo” diet to a whole food plant based diet. I’m so excited by the changes I’ve made in the last 5 weeks, I look forward to 5 months, 5 years down the road. Dalton family, many thanks for all you do!

When I first wrote a review of this book I was at the start of an amazing journey into the Whole Food Plant Based way of life. I wasn't a cook! My kitchen was used for making coffee and microwaving instant meals. I had purchased other WFPB books and tried a few things, with limited success. So what changed?I found the YouTube channel Whole food plant based cooking show, created by the authors of this book. Game changer! I could now see How to make the recipes!True, I have invested in some kitchen equipment to assist this way of cooking which to be honest has made things so much easier, but I have also learned to adapt and use what I have available.So firstly an apology for my first review and secondly to say I now Love this book, and live only by the 'no oil, dairy, meat and largely gluten free principles that this book and their cooking show promotes. And the recipes? It's my go to book for everything delicious, tasty and healthy.

So happy I bought this
I’ve watched a few of Jill’s videos on YouTube, then saw this recipe book (I recommend the YouTube channel). I’m so happy I decided to buy this, it really is full of delicious recipes that are healthy and tasty, and different from everything else out there.

Brilliant recipes
I bought this book a while ago and is has met and exceeded my exceptions of it. Everything I have cooked from a recipe has been absolutely delicious and my husband has loved the flavours as well. This will be my go to book till I have used every recipe and then I will probably start all over again

Great cookbook, I am strict vegetarian heading towards being vegan. This is a great help and the YouTube videos available are super too.

Great cook book with easy to follow instructions - Love it!
I’ve been watching the Whole Food PlantBased Cooking Show on YouTube for about 10 months now. I was very happy to see Jill announce her new cookbook. I really like the recipes that I have made so far, i.e. “The Mother of all Gluten Free Breads”, the Kale Chips, and “The Green Bean Casserole”. I will be trying more recipes this weekend.I like the way the book is laid out with clear type so you can read the ingredient list easily - and the big photos are nice so you have an idea what it should turn out to look like. I collect cook books and this one is really a good one. I highly recommend this book if you are a vegan as there are tons of great everyday recipes, or if you just want to try some really healthy plant-based SOS (Salt, Oil, and Sugar free) recipes that are easy to make.
