I am guessing that adding this extension would make the Load Warrior stretch net no longer fit since it would be too short now?

I added the extension to my Yakima Loadwarrior rooftop basket, but did not purchase the stretch net. Instead, I used a waterproof rooftop cargo bag to put all my things in it and secure the cargo bag to the Loadwarrior. The rooftop cargo bag from KEEPER (model # 07203) is 15 cu ft large and is a nice fit to the extended Loadwarrior. I made the trip from St Louis Missouri to Los Angeles California and it stayed tight on the rooftop all the way. The cargo bag has straps around and there is no need for a stretch net. If a stretch net is what you need, consider the Tooluxe large 36"X60" cargo net with hooks. It will stretch to 60"X90". I bought one for the Hitch Mounted cargo carrier on my Honda Pilot.

Is it possible to take the cross bar off the extension?

That is an accessory bar which is included on the extension and is removable. -Rerack

Too big for 2019 lexus rx450h!? will effect mpg more than 1 mpg!?

It is not. Honestly, it’ll be slightly small for your car. I would consider adding the extension to the basket to get the perfect size. Yes, it’ll effect your mpg.

Is the 30” crossbar requirement measured between the front abs rear crossbar?

Yes 30” between front AND rear crossbars. I have mine sitting at 28” but I spread it to 32” and it felt more stable.
