CKLau 4 Port Dual Monitor KVM DVI Extended Display with Audio, Microphone and USB 2.0 Hub

Bought the 2 port Dual DVI KVM Switch. Have a DELL pc w/ dual graphics cards (DVI to DVI) and a ThinkPad doc with HDMI to DVI cables.The home PC works great w/ the switch; my laptop setup blanks out every once-in-awhile (both screens go dark for about 2-3 seconds...if im typing at the time, the keyboard still registers, just the screens go out...) Not sure if its the cables (i have 2 different hdmi->dvi cables and both monitors go out...), switch, doc or what.... but lack of website for support makes it hard to figure out what might be going on...

I purchased this for my home office to switch between person desktop and work laptop (Dell Latitude w/ Docking Station) and for a month or two it has worked pretty well. One recent problem is that I am getting sticky keys which another reviewer mentioned. They fixed this by moving the keyboard to the usb port rather than the dedicated keyboard-usb port so I'll give that a try. This would be a 5 star review but the fact there is zero tech support options available I dropped it to 4 stars. But that's the risk you take when you decide to go with off-brand vs say Tripp-Lite or even StarTech.

I recently had to move my office home during a remodel, so wanted a KVM to switch between my work and personal computer. First thing I noticed, is there is no contact information on any of the paperwork, and zero support. Tried googling the company's name but didn't come up with anything that way.For the most part this KVM works, but not reliably. Their is a mouse specific USB Port, a keyboard specific USB, and then just a 2.0 USB Port. Plugging the keyboard into it's specific USB port is required for remote switching, but it's about 50/50 on if the keyboard will even get power. If it does power up, sometimes it will work for 5 minutes and sometimes you might even get a half day out of it before it quits working. The remote keys to switch are all based on CTRL tapping, which causes issues and delays in all my games that require the use of the ctrl key. I also had continuous issues with keys becoming "sticky". And when it does work I have never had any of the key shortcuts actually work. I really want to disable the very loud beep that occurs when it switches but can't.It's in a spot that I can get to the buttons, so I just switched the keyboard over to the extra USB port. With that it works great, no delays, no sticky keys, no issues. And I did just find that double clicking the mouse center button works as well for remote switch. That's why I went to three stars from one.Updated: Also just found the second display works differently. Primary display comes through with display type, while the secondary comes through as "matrix switch" and is limited at 1920x1080 so I'm dropping my review to 2 stars.

This KVM switch worked perfect right out of the box. Very easy to setup. Liked the ability to share audio between both pc's. Built solid. If I ever upgrade from DVI to display port, I would buy from CKLau again!

The KVM was well-packed and protected and, once it was in-place and configured, it performed very well as advertise for my home PC and two laptops. I worked for years in environments where I have to access two to five different networks (PCS) with a single KVM interface and I can tell this is a great KVM. I definitely recommend this KVM to those of us who need to keep up-to-date and access more than one device.

I've been using this for several months now and I thought I could put up with it's idiosyncrasies - but I can't.In addition the items below there are times when the unit loses contact with my wireless keyboard and/or mouse forcing a reboot of the unit.I wish I could have talked to some at the company but again - there's no website.It works for the most part but there are some issues.1. Sometimes when I switch between computers only one monitor will make the switch and the other is blank - then I have to turn the blank monitor off and on to get it to work.2. The instructions for Hot Keys make no sense and don't work on a windows computer.3. There is no website to go for support.

Worked like a charm. 5 stars.

Buy it again, for my colleague.Absolutely love this! He is an engineer, he said the device works quite well as expected! Very easy to switch.
