Based on the #1 New York Times best-selling book, Heaven is for Real recounts the true story of a small-town father who must find the courage and conviction to share his son's extraordinary, life-changing experience with the world. Review: Great inspiring film - This is a very inspiring movie not because it’s about a boy who saw heaven and it’s preaching you to believe in god or anything. [...] I don’t go to church anymore since I was 20 because I don’t believe in church anymore. I truly believe in god and I will always but I don’t believe in church anymore. People make all kinds of sins from Monday to Saturday and go to church saying I am sorry and go back to their houses and make some more sins. It just goes on and on and on and on. They gathered and talk about their family stuff, talk about their mother in laws, mostly bad words. If you don’t believe in god you go to hell. Simple as that. If that is all true, then your god is dead. I just don’t believe all that. If you live an honest life, help each other, have some donations, mostly your time(money is nothing) no sins, do good all the time I think that is enough. Going to heaven or hell is the next thing. This movie is about a boy who saw heaven when he had an accident and had a comma for a short time. And because of that, his father who is a pastor-fireman is about to step out from his position from the church. Many people think that his son is some kind of against church figure, a circus of the news that will be eventually harm to the church. But little by little they all figures out that what he saw was real and he didn’t lied. He really saw things that were real such as his parent’s unborn child who happened to be a daughter, the dead grandfather who happened to be a younger version he saw, even the soldier from the neighbor who was died in the battle. When we see the heaven itself, we truly feel like something holly thing is touching our soul. Something that thousand words cannot describe in a million years. There are so many movies that have tried to sermon and failed big time. This movie didn’t even tried to do so. It just showed the incident really happened and that was all they did. Believe it or not is just purely our decision. But I believe that many of us will feel something after watching this movie. The pastor in this movie doesn’t even wears suits during Sunday. He is quite free minded in terms of preaching. He doesn’t want to show that he is somebody or he is different with all the other people who come to listen to his words. He is no different with others. He is just delivers his thoughts that is in his mind. That’s it. He is not a holly person or knowledgeable intelligent guy. That’s how his son is made of. He saw heaven by maybe accident. That was a bliss and he will carry it for his entire life. He will live a great life and maybe even he will live a life like his father. But please not like one of those people who make sins from Monday to Saturday and go to church for forgiveness on Sunday and go back home and do the same mistake again and again. I had a wonderful time watching this movie and I am very sure that you will too. I also thought about the movies like after this movie. Great Movie!
It’s a wonderful movie (based on real life) about a Preacher & his Family. The acting is great & the boy that plays Colton is both believable & adorable. While on a trip, their son Colton (4 years old) developed appendicitis & a ruptured appendix. Colton is in the hospital & survives. What Colton experienced while in the hospital on the operating table, is revealed by Colton little by little throughout the movie. It’s a faith based story unlike any other, definitely enlightening & a must see. There is also a “Heaven is for Real” book (for adults) which is also terrific. It follows the story line of the movie, but also provides more details & information about Colton’s experience. Both the movie & the book are 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
