Torpedo The by Alchemy, Versatile Cast Iron Free Weight; 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50 lbs

Value to money rating is because the torpedo is pretty unique. It fills the bill for several spots in a daily routine where you can’t get to a gym and won’t take up a lot of space! It’s worked well in our family in dorm rooms , barracks and while traveling. As well as being accessibleFor adding light weight to a normal workout. It replaces using a 45 lb plate for most movements and gives you a secure grip. Hoping the price comes down but have bought this for friends doing PT for rehab of injuries and they loved it.

I wasn't looking for this product when I stumbled across it, while looking for something else. My thought was that this could be a nice piece to incorporate into my circuit style of training. I have been using it on a regular basis and find that it is ideal for chopping/rotational movements, conditioning movements (like man-makers and weighted burpees) and complex style workouts. I thoroughly enjoy complexes and often throw in a plate complex at the end of my workout, using a 45 lb. olympic plate. I have found that the Torpedo is a superior alternative for this type of workout. I am also working on doing a bottoms up press with this thing, but I am not quite there yet. I hope that Alchemy makes some heavier Torpedos in the future.***Update*** Finally got the bottoms up press...I 'm glad I bought this thing.

Just received the torpedo and did a workout with it, I’m quite happy with this product. Someone who is very short may not be able to go deep in a kettlebell swing movement but I had no problem doing my normal style swing.( I’m only 5’8 ). I had no problems using the torpedo- squats, cleans, curls, swings etc. great product for variety and to maximize space. (Added Jan 30th). It’s been 2 months and I still love it. I have now worked out with the Torpedo for a week and love it. My trainer has managed to incorporate it into almost every work out, from the kettle bell swing to dead lifts, we even did a plank, hooked one foot into the handle and did a mountain climber for enhance my core workout. I did Russian Twists last night and I thought I would die, but it really worked the muscles, pretty intense.

A very unique, versatile product! I’ve used it as a KB, DB, and BB and feel that it functions well in all categories. Its only shortcoming is difficulty with using 2 simultaneously for anterior dumbbell exercises (they are a bit long for that). I prefer single-arm exercises with DBs so it doesn’t affect my workout at all. Customer service is fantastic. I needed a replacement and they were extremely friendly, helpful, and quick to act. I love the torpedo, and I’m a regular at Alchemy gyms in MN. Unfortunately it arrived broken in half! I am in the process of returning it to Amazon.

Too new to assess fully but it’s versatility is substantial. I have injuries that limit the weight I can use, but I foresee higher weights for many.(Arrived in 1/2 the time I expected.)

My first impression is that this is a great combination of barbell, dumbbell, and kettlebell. I only took off one star because the seller hasn't replied to my message. I hope it's because they're just too busy producing more of these. My first action with it was to throw it from my porch into the lawn. I wanted to see if it would come apart. It didn't. I'll be buying more when available.

Wow I just received one which was BROKEN in 5 pieces on Monday, requested a new one and it is ALSO BROKEN!!!!
