Merrell Men's Forestbound Mid Waterproof High Rise Hiking Boots

Did a 12 km hike in the rain today , very good footing , and grip , so comfortable and fits like a glove , not rubbing or discomfort , also good price I paid was on offer for £63.01 ,a steal at this price ,only downside is that that I nearly slipped twice walking inadvertently on the metal drains on the pavements , best to avoid walking on the metal or slippery surfaces, these will be good for hiking in the mountains and rocks , I will use the vibram outsole shoes for the wet weather , will wear these on dry hikes from now , I still highly recommend them due to the incredible comfort when wearing these. Highly recommended.

After reading other reviews I bought up a size and they fit perfectly. So comfy! I have very precocious feet! Usually get blisters or sore spots or general aches/pains so was reluctant to buy anything off of internet but needs must - I was so glad! These are light on my feet, comfy underneath, warm but not hot, and not one blister or rub on a maiden 4mile walk. I did pair with some new (expensive) socks. My only v small issue was they seemed a little uncomfortable around the top of the ankle after the first mile but I stopped and loosened the laces and had no problems after that. I’ll be interested to see how long the last but I have zero complaints after first use. I think this is a shining example of ‘you get what you pay for’. In the past I’ve spent £40 and they’ve not been a patch on comfort to these. Highly recommended.

I know Merrell's come up short - that's nothing new really - but they are narrower than they used to be too, for some reason.I need a pair of waterproof boots for dog walking duties so I bought a size 8 even though I have only size 7 to 7.5 feet, and yes the size 8 does feel short but not uncomfortably so. However, the width IS uncomfortable. I would have returned them but I was desperate for them and stick with them hoping they'd "give" a little over time. And yes they have, to a point. They're definitely not my favourite shoes but I can say they are waterproof and appear to built well.

Bought as a gift for my husband, although he has only worn them once he found them to be very comfortable with a good grip in extremely muddy wet conditions. His feet felt a little chilled but he was only wearing normal everyday socks, which weren’t ideal for the conditions, so probably not a fault with the boot, next time he will wear hiking socks. His feet remained dry. Overall very pleased. Arrived as expected

These boots are great. Warm : suooortive and very light weight. I went in anhuge dig walk the first day I wore them and had absolutely no issues. The only problem is you literally don’t want to take them off! I lived in them for about the first 3 weeks . Boyfriend and 2 friends have also bought them now ( Boyf bought the men’s version obvs!)

These are without doubt the most comfortable boots I have ever owned and from that perspective they are everything you would expect from a brand such as Merrel. Sadly they are as waterproof as my Crocks and anything from damp grass or moorland to a heavyish rain shower will have your feet feeling soggy within a couple of minutes.I have worn these extensively in dry conditions over the winter and through the spring, but have now had wet feet on three occasions within the last week, in conditions in conditions the boots should have dealt with easily. There is no point having walking boots if they are not waterproof, especially at this price. So disappointed Merrel!

Boot fits well. Provides good ankle support with the two eyelets. Waterproof and reliable. I spend 1 1/2 hiking in them almost everyday. Going to order another pair so I have these favorites on my feet for a good long time.

Deuxième paire de Merrell acheté. La taille est bonne. Je les ai acheté car j'avais besoin d' une paire imperméable pour affronter les chemins de Compostelle avec des prévisions de pluies.Résultats sans avoir mis d'impermeabilisant supplémentaire et sans avoir au préalable marché avec ( pour faire les chaussures ), je n'ai pas eu d'ampoule et les pieds au secs (ne pas confondre bottes en caoutchoucs et chaussures de randonnée ==>ne pas marcher dans les ruisseaux)

I am an avid outdoorsman who spends 3-4 months a year hiking the woods of Ontario looking for antlers. Not just your average "dog walker". I put these boots through about 65 hours in the first week, through ice, snow, mud and they are one of the best. Very comfortable, waterproof and the best 200$ I've ever spent. Well worth it.

Diesen Wanderschuh habe ich als Ersatz für meinen zurück geschickten, Higgins, bestellt. Die Firma Merrell habe ich bewußt gewählt denn sie stellt sehr gute Schuhe und in einer guten Qualität her. Vorsorglich habe ich ihn in der Größe 45, statt44,5, bestellt und habe mit der für mich entsprechenden Größe Richtig gelegen.Seit 5 Tagen habe ich ihn regelmäßig angezogen und bin wirklich begeistert von diesem Schuh. relativ leicht und auch sehr bequem. Je nach der Art des wanderns kann ich diesen Schuh empfehlen, ich ziehe ihn fast jeden Tag an und habe diesen Kauf nicht bereut!
