The best battery life and most portable gaming laptop I've ever used
Great aspects:Good specsGreat productivityGreat gaming performanceAmazing speakers for a 14inch laptopThin and lightType-C chargingNice to type onNot so good aspects:No webcamFingerprint sensor kinda iffy sometimesKeyboard back lighting in bright light often makes keys harder to see (but this can be turned off, but is great at night)

Excellent, but with a few flaws
This is, as expected, a very fast machine for its size, with a really good screen. The fan is a little on the noisy side when under load but this is probably expected given the graphics capability. It's quiet in normal operation, such as browsing, programming and word processing. But there are a number of issues I identified, some of which may be more or less important to you, than me1. No built-in webcam - this could be an issue in a post-covid world with much more working and socialising from home2. Keyboard backlight - when the keys are lit the letters are even harder to read, as the letters/keys are white on silver which makes the backlight wash them out completely when activated, even in a darkened room3. No HOME/END key functionality - not even available as an FN-key combination. As someone who writes and programs this is a huge deal4. The Enter key is also an awkward shape at one key height rather than an elongated double height key. If this is what you are used to it may not present issues, but I found myself hitting the # key instead of enter 9 times out of 105. Power cord entry is a right-angled plug which feels like it might fatigue over time, as well as having the potential to pull the laptop off a desk if it gets caught, rather than just pulling the lead out safely. It's also awkwardly placed near the shift/ctrl keys rather than at the top left or rear of the chassis6. Fingerprint sensor - works great for unlocking from sleep mode, but if powering on you need to keep your finger on the power/fingerprint sensor for around a second to allow subsequent auto-login. If you just press the power button briefly, Windows then starts with a message about the fingerprint not being recognisedOn the plus side the whole package is well built and powerful, the screen was great and at 14" offers a reasonable compromise between size and weight, and performance was great. Maybe not as good as a desktop replacement 17" laptop, but given its size I would have no complaints. The machine I bought came with a second USB-C charger which was an unexpected bonus - this doesn't supply as much power as the other brick, but is more portable. Also included in the box was a bespoke zip-up carry case which was also unexpected and a nice touch. But the issues outlined above will only allow me to give it 3 stars. If none of the issues is a problem for you, then you will have a great experience with this laptop.

Great porduct
It doesn't have a camera, but if that doesn't bother you it's a really portable and powerful laptop

Powerful, light, great battery, can use for gaming
I bought this for my daughter fir Christmas and she is over the moon. She can, game "sims, l4d2, gta5" mostly at high settings, do her homework etc. Good size, light and great battery. Laptop of the year.

Excellent with one near fatal flaw
*Disclaimer* I bought this model from another UK retailer with the same specs but a 120Hz panel. I have some thoughts which I'd like to share on AmazonIts an incredible laptop. There really is no competition, especially at this price point. The Pros:-Very compact form factor-Build feels very sturdy and premium. Lid opens with one hand easily, and raises the back for airflow-Keyboard is excellent. Good feedback and travel, feels very nice to type on. Note that I got a European model with the horizontal enter key, instead of the UK layout (ISO) with the tall enter key. I also dislike the 'gamery' font style and space bar shape, but its ROG so what do I expect really-Trackpad is smooth and works excellently. Good clicks and no dead zones.-4600HS is excellent. 3269pt average on Cinebench r20 with boost enabled, and 2552pt with boost disabled.-1650 is perfectly adequate for entry level gaming (good luck with flight sim 2020 though- in demanding areas your looking at about 20fps on medium and about 30fps on low settings)-120Hz FHD display is bright, and the matt finish gives a non-reflective and very uniform viewing experience. The slow response time was noticeable when dragging the mouse cursor on a dark background, but doesn't affect me in games.-Battery life seems pretty solid, but I'll try and keep this review updated. The con-Fan noise. Oh ASUS, why?! At idle (30C) the fans constantly spin, and occasionally ramp up and down. This would be bearable if they didn't make such a dreadfully high-pitched whine. This is especially exaggerated when sitting further away, as the woosh of air is inaudible so all that is left is this irritating whine.Thankfully the issue is somewhat fixable. Using the G14 sub-reddit there is a useful tool that can be downloaded allowing you to set your own fan curve, enabling the fans to be turned off at idle and under light load.I would also recommend disabling CPU boost. This generally has a limited impact on games, whilst significantly reducing temperatures.By disabling boost and setting the fans to 0rpm until 49C, I can now enjoy a silent experience when doing light productivity tasks. I only wish ASUS had implemented a similar strategy out of the box, and that their armoury crate software wasn't so useless.Few other things-Fingerprint reader can be unreliable, but now that I know how to line up my finger correctly it works about 4/5 times.-Dedicated volume buttons are great, but the lack of page up and down may be a deal breaker for some.-Design wise, its reasonably slick. Personally I'd rather it didn't have the cringy republic of gamers logo on the lid, and instead was just a simple ASUS logo. It would be cool if ASUS could start to offer more toned down, business like versions of their very powerful gaming laptops.-Speakers are excellent-No webcam-I/O is decent, would be nicer if the usb-c port on the left was further back, but I guess the air vents take up too much space.-The raised back can dig into your legs, so a cushion is more comfortable. Just keep an eye on temps. In summary, its an excellent laptop with one near fatal flaw. If I had not discovered the G14 sub-reddit I definitely would have returned my device. I still wish the fans were less high pitched, but this is perhaps the price you pay for having so much power in a compact chassis.I also think the price is pretty reasonable for this model. Obviously more power is available for less elsewhere, but no brand offers it in such a small, and somewhat professional looking form factor.

Good fast neat Laptop
Battery life seems fine, no comments from my son. Nice thickness too. No camera on this for some strange reason. Anyway, that wasn't a big deal as I prefer the plug in type. Fingerprint is fine.Great laptop for the starting college students!
