Looks like it covers the ends to protect the phone but it doesn't so when it got dropped the screen cracked. But it is a nice look on the phone.

Looks Great, Breaks Easy
I was super excited to get this, because of how great it looks. But within the first month the corners started to crack and the small bits between the buttons and the screen broke off. I never dropped the phone or anything - the material just started cracking. Thankfully I got it on sale for pretty cheap so I don't feel to awful about the purchase. But I will probably buy a replacement soon, which really bums me out because I love how this case looks.
