Did actually work but only after first thinner extractor broke possibly down to a lack of release fluid on the threaded bolt and lack of patience by my son, great relief when the slightly larger bit worked, maybe longer soak in release fluid helped too.

These work very well when new, but lose their ‘bite’ quite quickly.Using the bits is a careful balance between using enough pressure to release the screw and using too much pressure and sheering the head off the screw. - I now have one bit with a screw head firmly welded to it!

Tried the no.1 it didnt work so moved onto the no.2 still didnt work the hole was getting bigger so tried no. 3 and it grabbed it straight away so that's why 4 out of 5. Good luck

Needed these as a last resort to undo a number of screws in my fence gate which had knurled heads. They managed to remove two of the four screws but instructions will not clear ear and I found that after using these drill bits that they too will know to a certain degree. I will only use his once or twice more more but they should be more durable.

Needed to remove a bolt that had been over tightened and threaded. Checked the reviews for this product, arrived next day and used straight away, bolt removed within 2 minutes. Good selection of sizes, need a bigger bit to remove the bolt than I expected, so it's very useful to have a choice of sizes.Need to be careful once it's removed, the bolt got very hot.

These screw extract tools are next to useless - followed the instructions to remove some wood screws and ended up drilling them out. Looks like a good product but in reality a waste of money
