This mask would be fine for outdoor sport use or work but not for protection from spreading virus germs. The air vent would allow the wearer, if ill, to exhale germs. Better than nothing to wear if your health is good, but if you are ill, the people in close proximity will risk breathing in your exhaled germs. I will only wear this mask with a medical mask over it. I bought this mask early on during the epidemic and did not realize it’s shortcomings.

Great but kind of hard to breath

Three out of the four masks I purchased from this seller were fine; however, one fell apart after the first wash. After the first washing, this one fell apart...The other three have been washed multiple times - they have shrunk but are still holding up.

The description says that the unit features "a unique ventilation design, excellent breathability and ergonomic design" and goes on to discuss an exhaust valve to facilitate quick exhale and less heat and mist on glasses. So, to the truth: the mask is tiny - hard to believe that it is the same item shown in the photos on Amazon. It's a piece of cloth with elastic ear loops stitched to it. Inside the cloth mask is a pocket where you can slide a PM2.5 filter. I'm an environmental scientist by profession, so I was (and still am) under no illusion re: the mask's ability to protect anybody from PM2.5 emissions. What upsets me is the complete lack of any valve. There's a piece of plastic glued on top of the fabric to look like a valve, but IT IS NOT A VALVE. There's no pressure relief on exhale and no discernible exhaust through the valve. I consider the product a complete rip off.
