It has a lovely natural looking hold and seems to condition my hair. The smell is pleasant and natural, like something from Aveda. It is not so overpowering that it interferes with a cologne.I have had unsolicited compliments about my hair when styled with It. It has a medium hold, rinses out well and is flexible to style with - use it on wet, dry or damp hair and either air dry or use a hair dryer for different effects.It is somewhere between a hair clay and a styling cream in terms of consistency and hold.I have tried many hair products from different brands including a lot of American Crew products and would consider this to be the best all round product that I know.I have ordered this twice now. It has replaced American Crew Forming Cream in my affections.Ps. My best results have been from using a small amount on wet hair, style it, then let it air dry. After it has air dried, I either leave it like that for a slightly wet look, or loosen it up by brushing or combing it through. This creates a looser, more natural-looking hold with memory.

Seems to hold mid length hair ok but be careful how much you use as it can make your hair look a bit lank, certainly not what I'd describe as a true matte finish. Not bad overall but better products can be had for less like Fudge Matte which tops this on hold, finish and price. All I can muster on this is 3 stars unfortunately, sorry O'Douds.
