I have a motorhome which may or may not be hooked up to mains electricity when I travel. This simply plugs into a cigarette lighter and charges my Acer laptop battery. Gives me so much flexibility. However I have only used it a couple of times, but I hope it will last a long time.

The seller compatibility description for this product was so comprehensive and helpful, you are in no doubt as to whether the adapter will fit you laptop before you order.The delivery was very fast and the item neatly packaged.A sturdy heavy quality plastic, the adapter body is larger than I was expecting ... but I suppose you need the size to house a mini inverter to push out 19v from a 12v cigarette lighter socket.The adapter also has a handy USB charging female plug.The wire is good thickness and comes with a velcro cable tidy.Quiet pricey - but it's going to last a long time and do a lot of work, so, worth it .. it's Fit For Purpose.

This device is unusable unless you have an extension cord. Most cars have the cigarette socket somewhere near the gear lever. Sticking something as big and unwieldy as this contraption into it makes it impossible to change gears on any of my vehicles.

Voltage output is too low. Only 14.4V.
