No, it does not grow back thicker or darker.

Q: I cant find the place on the unit to plug into

It uses usb so you plug the small end into the bottom of the trimmer and the other end will fit into any usb or square phone plug if you’ve got an iPhone

Q: What type of outlet adapter do you have to use to connect to the usb cable? most i see on line are 5v and the box refers to 1.5v with 3w rated power.

Hi, I’m not well versed on volts and electronic terms. I will tell you that we have several boxes that plug into my wall plugs and they have several USB ports as well as other regular type 3 prong plugs and it works fine.
