One star maximum. What a waste of good money. I grew up Hawaii for 12 of my 71years and the rest of those were in Southern California. I KNOW what good roasted and salted Macadamia nuts taste like. My best friend had a macadamia orchard in Carlsbad, where we were allowed to pick up the fallen nuts on the ground much like they do with walnuts and take home a big bag of nuts, all we had to do was bust 'em open without blowing up the nut inside. Those were the good old days so I have to source them online now. Macadamia nuts once properly roasted will have a delightfully delicate crunch and explode into hundreds of smaller bits, almost dissolving in your mouth. If you have ever had the chance to try Royal Hawaiian macadamia nuts you will know what I am talking about. These nuts were NONE of those. I cut open the sealed bag and peered inside,...what I saw shocked me. The nuts were WET! I checked the bag if I was sent the right nuts, it was right, unfortunately. The nuts had a wet, oily appearance and a distinctly yellowish color, many were very dark brown. They were very hard to chew, they were also VERY small nuts, the smallest I have ever seen to be truthfull. My personal opinion is that they were overcooked and possibly packaged while still hot sealing in any moisture, until I got them. I tried two different nuts, same problems. I checked the package to see where they were packed,...Monroe, New York. Huh?? There ain't NO macadamia nut orchards in NY! If there are, these are a poor example of properly roasted macadmias. Do not buy these nuts. I'm going to contact them before I complain to Amazon, this is not a shipping problem. In this same order, I also got shelled walnuts and pecans, those were fine,...so you figure it out. Don't say I didn't warn you.

I am not happy with the macadamia nut purchase. The bag is mostly pieces with only a few whole nuts which is ok I guess. What I don’t like is they’re too hard and I taste the peanut oil. Had I known peanut oil was used I wouldn’t have bought them. It ruins the macadamia nut experience. I will eat them but because they’re not that good only a few at one time.

Macadamia Nuts are all good for the most part. However this brand was not as fresh as a previous 12oz. packaged brand I had been buying and there was little to no salt that I could tell was being used in the packaging. These are OK but not the best.

There a many many nuts in this bag that taste stale on the verge of rancid; just bad flavor. You'll get a couple good ones, some that are tolerable in their flavor and then those that just taste off. I would not recommend this product. The label says that the expiration date is 5/15/2028 but I HIGHLY doubt that. Not to mention the expiration tag is actually a sticker and not a date imprinted on the packaging. That should have been my first warning.

these came in today, they were disgusting, they have been on a shelf for years I am sure, as soon as you open the bag you can smell they are rancid, and of course they cannot be returned as they are a food item I guess....DON"T BUY THESE

The nuts are small tough and chewy, not what you expect at this price point.
