Kettle Stainless Steel Lid Hinge

There's no better charcoal grill than a Weber, but that damn lid is a pain in the ass. Then I ran across a YouTube video of this hinge and was wowed. I ordered one right away.The installation is tough because the porcelain finish is nearly as hard as glass. That coating is tough to get a drill bit even started in. (Listen to the man. You cannot put a dimple in it to locate the bit)I got the hinge installed and it is awesome. It's sturdy, seals like a champ, locks open, easily releases to close.It's an amazing add on, great material, beautifully welded, and works to perfection.Buy this. You will love it!

Heavy duty, easy to install, works well. Just wish it opened a couple inches wider. Not a deal breaker for me. Nice product all in all.

Delivered and works as described. easy to install. I would buy again. It makes it so nice for your Webber or any other kettle gtill. I do wish it would stand the lid at 90 or better because, as it is now in the open position, it directs your smoke right into your face. Seriously, you can't beat Mother Nature; the smoke wins every time. There is a cool advantage. My wife says that the smoky smell on my sweatshirts is the best cologne I have. She said she should bottle that stuff. Obviously, she is a foodie!!!

I’mAll about organizing and this is one more good thing . Installs easily my lid is not going to get banged up lying it down . Many other folks use it !

This accessory to the weber 22.5 in grill works better than expected and the quality of the parts are very high. When I want to hinge the hood open for manipulating food on the weber its an easy one handed situation. I can just as easily close the lid with one hand. If I want to take the weber grill hood all the way off.....no problem simply remove the pin, raise the hood and reinstall the pin for use later when I want to hinge the webe grill's hood open again. This is not an inexpensive item, but it will easily last through the life of several weber grills. Highly recommended American made product.

Like another poster said, for the price I shouldn't have to modify the product to make it work well. The stop on the hinge is too low, resulting in the lid only being open to a 50ish degree opening. The bolts obstruct my spinning grate. Had to install those with the head inside the grill. Makes the outside look bad.Aside from all the changes I had to make to make it actually functional, it's an okay product. Good material. Bad design. I'll likely take it off and find another solution.
