Blended

This book is beautifully written. Perfectly worded and truly heartfelt. It attacks some of the situations my 4 children specifically deal with daily. This book has brought up opportunities for conversations and questions for our kiddos to become more natural and openly discussed, not just at home. I found it on accident but I'm so grateful I did. We are a very blended family of many colors and step -'s and adopted's. I of course read this book before letting my children and it addressed so many things that I over look or don't think on as much myself being white and an adult. When my daughter read it it touched her and made her more confident in her reactions to being questioned by peers. It truly has made a change in our family. Her brother also read it and I can't wait for the littlest little to be old enough to read it. I would give this book 10 stars If I could and we are ALL looking forward to finding more from this author.

This book was so amazing because it focused on the journey of a little girl struggling to find herself in the midst of her parents divorce. Having the perspective of a child thrown to the center of the story and describing the very real struggles with identity as a mixed race child with the complication of who she is in different environments helps connect with students. The innocence of the character and the situations she deals with make her journey a must read.

This book explores the dichotomy and effect of divorce on a biracial adolescent. The author seeks take the reader through the impact of an adolescent who is trying to find her place in society. This book explores racism, divorce and the concept of a blended family in a succinct way for young readers to understand.

the book felt as it were new no tears all pages intact no stains. would recommend if you are on a tight budget, and need a book for a book report or project.

I read this book as a middle school Ela teacher. It is amazing so relatable for students and educators alike. Definitely worth adding to your classroom library.

AMAZING BOOK

It is a good book to read in your leisure time, specially during Quarantine. This book is about a girl named Isabella.

These are the words my 11 year old daughter used to describe the book, she is extremely sad to finish the book !! She enjoyed it so very much !!

My daughter is also a mixed child and is currently going through similar struggles as the girl in book. I’m so grateful that there was a book like “Blended” for her to relate to.
