Cute story.
The illustrations are so interesting and unique. I really loved the cat thief story. This one is good but the cat was wonderful.

Love the details
I had been looking forward to reading this book after I had peeked inside. The character and her surroundings are beautifully presented. I specially liked the fact that it has those little details to pay attention to; for instance, the services provided for housekeeping & the names of the buildings. I love Mr Munroe:)

Item as described - perfect for 6 yo 7 year old fluent reader
My 6 year old loves this book (she is a free reader - grey level/ past ORT level 11). She finds this book easy but she is a very fluent reader. The content is good for girls - not sure for boys. It arrived quickly in perfect condition. I’m going to have to buy more now.

Brilliant, hilarious, and endlessly interesting
I bought this book for my sister's children while they were visiting, along with the other two Ottoline books. They are all delightful, but I think this one is my favourite because of the ingenious plot. It is extremely funny, and the elaborate illustrations are full of details for children to pick out. At the end of the book there is a puzzle game of seeing which hidden details you noticed, which adds to the fun, as well as a set of stickers. Both children - Freddy, seven and Hannah, five - loved it, and my sister and I also devoured the books in an hour or two. I have a happy memory of little Hannah waving the book around, banging on it, and chanting "Lottoline, Lottoline [sic], goes to school!" Highly recommended.

Requires some thinking but even if you don't dig into the details you can still enjoy the story 'on surface '
My 5yo is absolutely taken by this book. Simply made yet very busy detailed pictures. Loads of tiny hidden clues to match the story. Requires some thinking but even if you don't dig into the details you can still enjoy the story 'on surface '. So really good story for various ages I'd say. I think the older the child the more details and twists in the story they can spot. It's defo one of the best books I've seen. Oh, and each book contains some small gift relevant to the story. A-ma-zing!

Good story to read but the pages are not glued in properly
My daughter loves reading these books, so through the lock down I ordered her some as a treat. However, the book we received was not bound/glued properly so the pages were tearing away from the spine and will eventually fall out, this was on the first time we opened the book to flick through it. It will not survive a child reading the book, pages will fall out very quickly.
