I had to buy this for a class. I would say parts of it were useful but most of it was information I either already knew, don't need, or could have easily found online for free. I found that the sections that talked about examples from real world teachers could have been insightful but ended up having very little meaningful information and made the chapters more confusing to read. I think there could have been a lot less of these teacher lessons and teacher interviews and it would have accomplished the same thing. If you don't have to buy this for a class I would say don't buy it.

Creating an environment in art that overlaps what is happening in the rest of a child's day is critical in today's high accountability world. It is possible to retain the integrity of art, yet more integration and planning are needed. This book will get a school started in this direction. Let the work begin!

Looks like it will fit a 1 credit, integrated arts class for K-6 teacher certification well.

The book is exactly what I needed. It came on time.

Don't waste your money on this. Lots of jargon, very little truly artistic thinking.

My experience with this item is because I am taking an online course through college and it contains use to read this book.
