I would buy this bag again.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I was looking for a bag big enough to hold my 2018 MacBook Air 13.3” but not something too big and awkward as a laptop bag. If you put the MacBook sideways it fits in this bag. This bag is super sturdy and easily held 3 big college books. This bag was nicely made and will definitely handle heavy duty use. A plastic water bottle can easily fit in the side pockets. The pockets are also big enfough to fit either an iPhone 6 Plus or an iPhone 6s or both in the same pocket. There is one zipped pocket on the inside of the main compartment. All zippers work fine and the buttons seem solid.

Very sturdy, perfect size.
Very heavy duty without being stiff and the perfect size. I didn't think it would fit a notebook/paper easily but it does with room to spare. The material is truly a canvas weight and not just fabric. The snaps work very well, they are actual snaps and not magnetic so they stay closed. The color is really nice and accurately described (army green, anyway). Side pockets can hold a ton of pens and the strap is generous with a lot of room to adjust. The only difference I noticed was on mine, that brand tag is not on the front but on the zipper pocket within the bag. I consider this a plus as I like the plainer, more "grandpa's old ammo bag" feel that is has. I'm military and wanted a "purse" that went from work to play and look good at both and this fits the bill perfectly. Not sure what there could be not like about this bag! (No it's not waterproof and if you turned it upside and shook it, small things might fall out?)

Fabulous Bag
I stumbled across the Gootium brand a few months ago and instantly fell in love. For the price the quality is fantastic and the aesthetic of the bag is perfect for me. You won't find another bag brand on Amazon that balances quality and price like Gootium does.Amazing product.*10-13-2016 Edit*Hadn't used the product side compartments until this morning, which is when I discovered one of the button snaps totally missing. Very disappointed as the bag is otheriwse great.*10-17-2016 Edit*Company responsible for the bag contacted me about the defect and offered to ship a replacement bag out to me.*10-26-2016 Edit*Received the new bag from the company, this one is flawless. Five stars.

This IS the Bag I've been looking for.
So far I'm loving this bag. When I first opened it up I was a bit scared that it was going to be too small but it's kinda like a Tardis. It's bigger on the inside. Which is exactly what I needed. Everything fits perfectly, the bag itself is made of great material and the inside zipper is also of great quality which seems to be where most people slack. The color was also exactly what I ordered. I've been searching for the right bag for a month and have unfortunately purchased 4 wrong ones before finally getting to the Gootium Vintage bag. I'm in love and its exactly what I was looking for..where were you all this time?!?!

Used as a Mirrorless Camera Bag
This bag is the perfect size to carry mirrorless camera gear while traveling. It is small enough to get into museums and other sensitive venues since it does not appear to have any risk of inadvertently swinging into precious displays, etc. It was allowed into the Neue Galerie in NYC, which is actually why I bought it to begin with.Keep in mind, the bag is not padded, so there is no protection for your gear, but I wear it across my body which keeps it in place, safe, and it can't drop off my shoulder that way. The advantage of no padding is the bag actually holds a lot for its small size, and it's not bulky at all. It feels very comfortable while carrying it. The strap is thin, so I can also carry my camera with my neck strap over it.I believe the bag is not waterproof, so it would be smart to bring some plastic to cover it with if you're going to be out in inclement weather. The only thing I really have to protect are my batteries as my gear is mostly weather resistant. Here's what I fit in when traveling:Olympus M1 Mark2 mirrorless camera with a relatively large lens (oly pro 12-100). This is the perfect travel lens btw.One or two other lenses, such as Olympus 17mm (which is tiny), and maybe a small fisheye or macro lens as well. The bag could hold a second larger lens, such as the oly 75-300 but that does crowd the bag a bit.I carry a 16.9 oz. (500mL) water bottle in one end pocket, and my sunglass case in the other end. These fit snugly with no chance of inadvertently falling out.The center front pocket holds extra batteries for my M1, and these are pretty chunky. I can carry 4-5 batteries with no problem. More if I pushed it.The inside pocket easily holds a 12 compartment memory card case and it zips for a bit of added security.Typically I have some paperwork with me, or a steno sized notebook set in the bag vertically. The bag accommodates this well.Overall I find this bag nearly perfect. Other bags I have purchased are very bulky, or don't have any way to carry water, sunglasses, etc, as they are sized only for camera gear. If I want to carry more gear, tripod, etc. I use my Tenba messenger style camera bag which I also like, but it is much more bulky than this bag.

Happy with my purchase
I searched for a sturdy messenger bag for traveling. Needed more room than a purse and something I could sling across my body for easier traveling that wasn't too big. This is a great bag for that. It will fit nicely under the airplane seats and will carry my book, phone, iPad, wallet, glasses, etc.

Good - but...
First the goodIt arrived quickly. This bag is constructed well and and out of strong material. The stitching has no gaps or offline sewing. The strap stays - the buckle does not slide down like some do. It weighs 600 grams (a little over 1 and 1/4 lbs). An inner zipped pocket for valuables is present. The main zip is well thought out and gives you plenty of space to put your stuff in and take it out.For those who like this kind of thing they've given it 5 stars. Why I've given it 3 stars (I'm a travel blogger)If you go to places like: London, Bangkok, Casablanca, Delhi, Johannesburg etc. - this is NOT the bag you want. Unless like me, you change some things. This thing is a pickpockets/thieves delight. A six year old street kid in Tangiers would have everything in the bag, except the stuff inside the inner zipped pocket, within seconds. The straps holding down the main flap are decorative only, they have pops on them which undo very, very easily. The outer pockets are the same so anything in them would go as well.If it rains, everything will get wet, though a good proofing with Grangers will eliminate some of that. What we have is a well constructed bag, with a bad design. What I will do (and you could too)The main pops will go, so that the straps have to be undone through the buckles only. The main zip replaced with a waterproof one that does not give me gaps at each end, plus make it lockable. Waterproof the material, to keep stuff dry in those surprise downpours.I like the bag and it's looks (which is why I'll keep it) and use it for short trips of less than 4 days, to carry my camera and minor clothing. It is ideal for budget airlines carry on and get outta the airport fast.

Nice camera travel bag
I recently used this bag for a week on holiday to carry my mirrorless camera around with two lenses. There is plenty of space for this setup to add other small items into the bag. When I flew, I packed the bag flat in my checked-in suitcase. When I got to my destination, this was my daily walkabout bag for my camera. It's a very simple to use bag and looks vintage, so may not be suitable for those who like modern-looking things. I found the looks very nice and, importantly for me, it didn't attract any unwanted attention.I did have padded lens pouches and a neoprene camera pouch protecting my camera gear as this bag will not offer any bump protection to your camera gear. I'd also avoid putting very small items into the external pockets (front and side) as these are not 'sealed' so there are gaps when the flaps are closed which may cause tiny items to drop out if the bag is turned upside down.On the inside of the main flap is a zippered pocket that can be used to secure small items. Fastening the flaps is via a push-button stud fastener (rather than the dreaded Velcro!). All in all, a nice unpadded camera bag with a retro look that is discreet with some decent capacity despite its small size.

Hooray - at last
I have had this bag for months now and absolutely love it. It's just the right size to hold a book, travel coffee cup, and a folded up shopping bag, with room for a bit of extra stuff (gloves, hat, etc.) as needed. I keep little things (phone charger, etc.) in the zipped inner pocket (which can also hold a passport), and my wallet and keys in the front pocket under the flap. The side pockets are exactly the right size for an iPhone 6 (with case). When we go on holiday it's all I need for a day out with the kids (water bottle, small activity books, sunscreen, markers...), and it's not looking worn at all even though I wear it in all weathers on my bike. It's just the ticket!

Got what I paid for
It's solid construction, lots of storage and a rugged masculine look. I'd say it's mid-size, and will easily fit an iPad and then some in the main compartment.Apart from the two side pockets (which can hold small items like keys and flash drives) there's a front pocket (I keep my shades, and a few other items in there) and an inner flap with a zip, ideal for your wallet or purse. The main compartment is spacious and has a zip closure which I like.I gave it 4 stars because the little leather that there is looks either synthetic or low grade. That said, it doesn't spoil the overall quality cause I'm really happy with it.No problems recommending it.

The perfect Bloke Bag
Very pleased with this purchase. Solidly made, loads of useful pockets and a rugged canvas that looks like it will last for years. Long shoulder strap adjusts easily to suit someone over six foot and it sits well and comfortably cross body. Good size for a day trip.At under thirty pounds I really DO feel like I have made a huge saving on the actual price (not always the case on Amazon). On top of that it was dispatched quickly and with a polite follow up mail.If you're looking for a "bloke bag" then you probably can't go wrong with this one. A slightly aged look instantly makes it feel like an old friend - one I'm sure will enjoy many, many holidays with me.
