Beautiful ornament
As one who collects ornaments as a hobby (some very expensive), I can say this is a beautiful ornament. I have purchased a number of this brand of ornaments made by Merck Family Old World Ornaments and can attest you won’t go wrong in purchasing this ornament. It will come packaged safely in an original box.From all my previous purchases from Merck Family Old World Ornaments including this ornament, they look exactly as pictured on Amazon in color and size. The are detailed and very beautiful!Since these ornaments are made of glass I consider them fragile as I would any glass ornament. As mentioned they are true to size.I would definitely recommend this ornament as well as all Merck Family Old World Ornaments to other buyers. These make beautiful gifts for giving annual ornaments.

Great Gift!
I bought this for my mom who loves cardinals. Its really pretty. She's hung it in her kitchen and also on the Christmas tree. She loves it!

The handblown glass is exquisitely done. Colors are beautiful. Heavy in weight.
I purchased two of this style bird. Very heavy in weight. Colors are beautifully done. They sparkle really well. The jaws on one of the clips doesn't meet and doesn't close tight. I have a 3' feather type tinsel tree, so the branches are thin. I used a bit of tissue paper and pretty ribbon to tie them on. If you have a large tree with thick branches you won't have a problem clipping them on. Even though one of mine the clip is broken, and they are too heavy for my delicate tree, I'm not returning because it was easy to tie them on with ribbon to safely secure them. Check each style bird weight for your tree. This company makes many clip on birds and they all weigh differently. A larger bird I bought was actually lighter in weight.

Photos don’t do it justice. Small sparkles built into the glass itself (so won’t fall off) catches light making it a true show piece on a tree.
