Material seems pretty durable and the clips are fairly sturdy. I use this for sketching and it serves my purpose very well.

My daughter loves this large Museum Clipboard! It is a medium weight clipboard! She draws, paints and uses it for just writing also! I would not recommend this for someone who wants a smaller more compact clipboard. However, it is perfect for anyone who needs a larger surface to draw, paint, prepare art projects, do calligraphy and /or to paint the characters of various languages such as Chinese characters, look over spreadsheets to make corrections, and for anyone who desires a larger surface to write on. It is extremely well made with a high quality release type clip and a large band to keep things in place. So many other clipboards I looked into had problems with defective clips, but this one is sturdy and easy to use, as you just press where it says PUSH and up comes the entire clip ready to use!

I like the size and will use for my artwork. However the thickness of the board is not nearly as thick as those I have purchased in the past and the clip is a bit loose and flimsy. I expect it will break sooner than not.

Sometimes you just want the basics. Yes I love the laser beam drawing board and couldn't be happy without the Koh I Noor drafting board with protractor and parallel but sometimes you just want to "get busy" with a heavy hand and splashed , bold strokes of color . And, somehow, the messier these things get the more you love to use them ! The papers stay where you put them especially if you add a clip on the side or use the rubber band. They're heavier than the more easily maintained plastic boards but they're sturdier too. I do think, however , that you have to be "old school" to fully appreciate them, it has something to do with the flashbacks the smell and texture or maybe the snap of the clip brings on. Enjoy!

It holds my quilt blocks very nicely.

This art board has a comfortable handle and is light in weight. The additional elastic band is a useful feature. It keeps any art work well fastened when you have to transport it. Also, the clip on top of the board is unique and very strong.

perfect size for drawing watercolor, not to clumsy to use. Just right to fit on your lap, sturdy clip to hold your drawing/painting

It's a lot bigger than I expected, it shipped in a humongous box. It's nice and sturdy, the only thing is the clip came a little warped, but it still works.

Gave to my daughter for Xmas as part of an ensemble of items for her drawing art. She loves it. Great platform to draw on.

Great to draw in larger scale were ever I want. Gives you the ability to be out side, on the sofa or at my desk.
