I see many unsatisfied customers, however they are expecting a vacuum type appearance to their bags. As stated in the brochure, oxygen is only 21% of air, So 79% of air is not. Meaning that you will most likely not get the vacuum type appearance. But the oxygen will be gone. Just like bags of beef jerky that you buy, it will have the remaining air in it. However, I put one 500cc in each of 2 jars of dehydrated rhubarb, and the remaining 8 packets in a mason jelly jar. All three popped, as in sealing. the jelly jar first. My jars were tightly packed and I shook them to settle them to get the max benefit of space. There was just enough room for the packet on top. So, when people are complaining that they did not get the right look, it is because of the air ratio, not because the packets are not working.

Used this to ensure longer shelf life for my dehydrated backpacking food. After all the work I put into dehydrating our food, I wanted extra insurance for long lasting shelf life. These were the perfect size. They left no taste in the food and worked great. I will buy these again when I run out. I appreciated the enclosed instructions too.

I'm new to dehydrating but not to storing and from research I decided these would be good for use with my 5 gal food buckets plus quart and pint jars, if not overkill on the latter.They seem to do the job bc if the packs are super fresh the jars actually seal a bit if left overnight after putting well-dehydrated food with one of these inside. At least I'll be able to tell when someone has opened the jar. I've noticed that if I don't use all packets in the first week even kept in a sealed jar they get old and don't work as well, jar won't seal as well.The buckets do well with a handful of packets spread out with the food and super full of grains, etc.The only thing is I can't seem to figure out how to store the opened packs long enough to use almost all at once. I'll do more research, but until then I'll just have a bunch of jars and buckets ready to add them all at once. Just a little more work for me bit worth it!Stay diligent, folks!

I was not at all satisfied at how well these worked. I used them in 10 different 1gallon Mylar bags of dry cereal and only 2 drew down real tight . The others stayed almost as loose as when I first sealed them. Since I am new at storing in Mylar bags I thought maybe I did something wrong so I decided to to redo the ones that didn't suck down plus 4 new ones and put 3 abosorbers in each bag. I got pretty much the same results. I know my storage for the unused absorbers is good because the indicator is still pink. I took 3 out and held them in my hands for 2 hours and they barely got warm. They did start off very soft and after a full day turned head and crunchy as you would expect. I'm not at all impressed with these . I've used others that worked just fine . I'll go back to those.I am updating my original review as Pack Fresh USA contacted me less than 24 hours after I posted this to offer to help me out and assured me they were working correctly. They asked me to contact them so they can further assist me. I appreciate them doing this but I have already used most of the absorbers and have moved on. I have said before I'm new to doing this and am willing to accept that they may have worked. I checked all of the bags I redid and they seem to have drawn done more 2 days after I sealed them. I'm changing my rateing from 1 star to 4 stars for the excellent customer service.

Great price for the number of packs you get. They last a long time and do their job very well.

My order arrived on time, however, the shipping envelope was damp and taped up. With all the floods going on I thought maybe that's how the envelope got wet so I decided to try them anyway. The color dot specified that the inside contents were OK and I just finished dry canning my rice for the first time. All of jars sealed and I am very pleased with the product. I will definitely continue to purchase more of this product from PackFreshUSA!

These arrived on time, securely packaged, and are doing a great job. I just pop them in the container I need protected, and they go to work. They are substantially thick, and I will reorder from them when I need more

I'm VERY impressed PackFreshUSA oxy absorber products. I'm new at preparing goods for long term storage and didn't use. PackFreshUSA first. I had to rebag 40 bags because I used too few packets/ wrong size packets for somethings like flour plus I left my packets in the open for more than a hour. Lost 50% effectiveness. My comments are about the preparations. If you don't do it right, your efforts will be in vain no matter what product you choose.
