Man Repeller: Seeking Love. Finding Overalls. Hardcover – September 10, 2013

I love Leandra Medines blog 'The Man Repeller'. When the book became available to purchase online I directly ordered it.Living in Albania delivery usually takes time but I received it 2 weeks in advance of the delivery estimated time and in great condition.I am currently reading this book and I'm loving it! Medine has a sharp language to say the least and really funny. Her stories rely to my own upbringing in a kind of way. Every story that I read from the book reminds me of bits from my childhood and teenage years bringing me some long forgotten memories and sometimes making me revisit bits of my past that had totally slipped out of me. It is quite an interesting experience reading this book.All in all I am really enjoying it and I think is smartly written and composed. I give it 5 stars!

I love this book!! I had always wanted to read it, but never got myself to go to a bookstore to purchase a hard copy and I was too impatient to order it online and wait for it to be shipped to me. I finally decided last weekend to purchase the online ebook and instantly I was hooked. I read it on my commute to work, I have never read a book so fast. Loved every single bit, Leandra has a way with words that makes you feel like you are there with her. I highly recommend this book and I will be reading it again.

Author has a really fun and honest voice, and the stories are really funny and easy to relate to (for me anyway). Also, the way she incorporates fashion into each section is really nice and pretty informative. It was a little wordy at some points, but overall it was an easy, entertaining read and a great book!

Leandra is so unique because, while she thrives in an industry with a tendency to take itself too seriously, her love of fashion goes beyond image-building, snootiness or pure self-indulgence. Clothes are her medium and she interacts with them as an artist -- you can tell by how she connects feelings and memories so directly with her favorite pieces. Plus she's a great storyteller, unafraid to poke fun at herself and funny as hell.

Im undecided. While I think this book is not worth it's almost $18 in Kindle edition, I had fun reading it. I don't agree with most Leandra's fashion choices on Man Repeller, I still check the blog and laugh at her jokes. I think it's a crime to pay $500 for a pair of shoes and God-knows-how-much for a Chanel bag, but I still enjoy pictures of well-thought outfits featuring both. What broken heart a girl will get from realizing a regular paycheck cannot buy her either those shoes or that wedding dress, will be healed quickly by the fairy-tale love story of her going after the man she loves. Have fun and decide for yourself if you like the book.

I love ManRepeller and have followed the blog rather religiously over the past 2 years.Bias aside, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed reading this book. I was expecting something a little shallow but in fact I found that Medine writes honestly and wittily about her experiences- which, of course, are inextricably tied to her attire throughout.When she publishes her next book I will definitely pre-order...

I love this book. I love her wittiness and and humor. I love the clever and fresh approach she has on fashion. I wanted to become a fashion blogger at some point but played with the idea but, She really made me seriously consider the notion. This is a classic for sure. I also received it super fast. Thanks

I liked it a lot. I'm about the same age as Leandra and her writing style just seemed so easy and personal that I could totally imagine all those stories being told by my friend. She is not trying to be too smart, or something that she is not, all those stories including the parts of her love life stuggles and even the period parts, made it so somehow relatable. Its a great book!

Divertido, natural, fresco y totalmente hilarante. Me ha transportado a mi post adolescencia tan intensamente como la viví. Leandra demuestra que se puede trabajar en moda, vivir de la moda, y estar enamorada de la moda sin ser por sello pretenciosa en absoluto. Este es uno de los libros que toda mujer debe leer antes de morirse.

A very revealling and interesting memoir of a talented woman. It was easy to read, and to relate to her story.
