The torch arrived in a presentation box which contained:- Torch- Battery – 5500mAh 26650- Charging cable – USB C (no charger)- Lanyard- 2 spare O rings- ManualAs the torch is boxed, comes with a battery and has built in charging it makes it ideal as a present as the recipient wouldn’t need to sort out their own charger etc. Remember the torch has a disc to isolate the battery, so unscrew the end and throw this away. The bonus is that it charges using the newer USB-C format rather than the older micro USB. It even comes with a charging lead, but no charging plug, but you can use any USB plug or computer. You can even run the torch without the battery just using the USB C lead.First impressions:The torch is well made, sturdy and compact – easily pocketable in a jacket, but a bit weighty. Weight: 150g, With included battery: 245g. So not lightweight and flimsy. It feels very nice in the hand, a nice diameter.Everything is nice chamfered with no sharp edges. The base is flat so the torch can stand upright even with a lanyard fitted which is useful particularly if a diffuser is fitted (not supplied).Using:The torch has two modes either stepped or ramped brightness, I must admit I love smooth ramping. It also has a strobe mode.You can also set an electronic lockout – essential if you put in your pocket as the torch can get hot when on high or turbo (as with most torches like this turbo doesn’t run for long and gets very hot), although I tend to mechanically lock it out by a quarter turn of the end cap.The torch has a nice mix of throw and spread.Overall this is a great torch, very bright and versatile for its size. This was not my first Sofirn torch and again I'm not disappointed, a quality bit of kit. My other torches are going strong with no issues over time.

The media could not be loaded. The Sofirn SP33 V3.0 is a true powerhouse in a relatively compact form factor.It features an orange peel reflector and a Cree XHP 50.2 LED that give it a floody beam, which also has some throw because of the power.The driver uses PWM on all modes except Turbo, but it is only visible to the camera and not the naked eys, so it is quite nice. The LED is cool white, in the range of 6000K - 6500K, with a slight green tint in the corona.It comes with a quality Sofirn branded 26650 battery, rated at 5500 mAh. The battery is excellent, as I measured an actual capacity of 5479mAh and an internal resistance of just 53 Ohms! The light can charge the battery through an integrated USB type C port, at 1.5A and charging took 3.5 hours to complete from empty. The light can also use a 21700 lithium battery or even a 18650, with the provided sleeve. The option to use 3 different battery sizes, makes this light very versatile!The runtime on Turbo was 2.5 hours. The light did drop in brightness progressively, but it was very usable until the integrated voltage protection turned it off, when the battery voltage dropped to 2.68V. The temperature of the light did not exceed 47C.The quality of the light is very good for its price. The knarling on the tube is grippy but not sharp and the treads are square cut and smooth.The interface is very easy to use and well though out. It provides either stepped or steppless brightness control and is very natural to remember.This is a light I would keep in the house, in the car, in my backpack or take out to camping or any outdoors adventure. The long run times, the variable brightness that can get very high and the ease of use, make it ideal!

Extremely well built, quality torch , in fact the best in my collection. I like torches (flashlights) this is far brighter, a lot lighter , and with a better way of programming how you want it to work via the button presses. Great battery life , I mean at least 10 hours at a bright usable walking in the dark mode. Full power gets hot, only for a few seconds use as you would any way. Charge externally so no need to remove battery.The battery does knock internally if you shake the torch. I slid a rubber band / elastic band(about 10mm/half inch long) down inside the battery compartment. Problem solved.Great EDC, perfect size to take everywhere, perfect battery life and brightness to take everywhere, can not recommend enough.Brilliant torch far better than my LED Lensors which I used to buy

We have recently moved into a rural area and needed a good quality torch and after seeing some recommendations for this light I took the plunge and bought it, after using it for a couple of nights I can safely say it is certainly bright! I do own a few other lights but this is the first i have that uses a lithium 26650 size battery (included). You can also use 21700 + 18650 sizes (not included). This battery has a great capacity, probably one of the highest capacity batteries around. It also has built in usb-c charging (cable included) which is great for people that don't have a seperate battery charger, which I feel would make it a great gift.The beam is great, it has a good mix of long distance throw and a fair bit of flood for seeing around your feet and nearby. The brightness can be increased and decreased by holding the button and double click for turbo, but on turbo this torch is insanely bright and does get quite warm, so not to be messed with by children (this torch can be locked out by 4 quick presses to stop accidental activation), it does have built in temperature protection but still advisable to be sensible.Overall, I am very pleased with this light and is quickly becoming my favorite, I have taken a before and after picture of my garden and the small white house at the back is approximately 100m away and completely lights it up which is impressive. Maybe slightly too large to carry in your pocket everyday but certainly great as a dog walking light, camping or just being in a rucksack for when out and about. Would recommend to my friends.
