Dee Zee DZ16301 NXt Black | Black Running Boards

I ordered these running boards because the price was right but noticed while I was installing them that the plastic end cap on one of the steps wasn’t laying in place exactly right and upon further inspection found that the plastic fastener on the inside that holds it in place was broken. Thought to myself… more seconds from Amazon, now I know why the price was right. Since I was in the process of installing them I decided to finish the install and try to glue on the end cap but doesn’t hold and doesn’t lay right so I know some day it’ll fall off. Not happy at all.

Disclaimer: I purchased these in early 2014. (I've had them on for over 4 years)I purchased and installed these on a 2013 Ram 1500 Express Regular Cab. They fit great!I also purchased the separate mounting bracket which made the install really simple.The look of the NXT running boards goes well with the body lines of the Fourth Generation Ram truck. Bought these for a standard cab F-150 and they arrived THE NEXT DAY!! (PA/NY) I bought black/black and like the looks, although not installed yet. Looking for something to give traction getting into the truck in the winter, and I think I found it. Sprinkled with raised rubber dots that feel like they will keep you from slipping even if there is light snow on them. Expect them to make my life easier when it's time to take the grandsons for a ride, or the wife if necessary. Very happy so far, say a prayer for easy installation.

Installed on 2016 Ram 2500 standard cab, after adjusting as far as they would go they over hang the back of the cab by 2 inches and are 7 inches short of reaching the front fender well. Disappointed!

I called Dee Zee customer support specifically to ask if this running board would install tight to the rocker panel so as to block road dirt from rotting out the bottom of my door and the rocker panel just below the door. The lady who took my call assured me that it would "adjust" up tight to the rocker panel. I then ordered and installed the running boards and found that they indeed did NOT adjust - in any direction - and especially did not adjust up against the rocker panels. When I called to ask if I could return them, because they did not perform as the Dee Zee rep claimed, I was told I would have to pay a hefty restocking fee and pay the return shipping fee myself. As for the product, it's just OK, not what I wanted or expected. The installation instructions were pretty useless due to the lack of an assembly drawing that shows the whole assembly in one view. All views are just bits and pieces of the assembly. Really wastes your time. I won't buy a Dee Zee product again.
