Philips 456202 Hue White & Color Ambiance A19 Extension Bulb

Six stars should be available for these bulbs. Philips doesn't leave "well enough" alone; instead, they continue to improve their products and add new integration features like last year's HomeKit support and the new motion detector (that one was overdue so it's almost god there is no six star review because they deserve a 1/2 star off for the delays). LOLLove the product line and the quality - thanks to the seller Big City Lights, the price was amazing. I'll be back to Big City Lights and I'll be adding more amazing Philips Hue lights to my almost completely automated home (with solar panels -- yeah, they rock except when it has rained for three days like this weekend!!!)...

I've been using LED bulbs for years for the energy savings, and it really is a noticeable savings on your utility bill. I'm just now stepping up into the Hue line for home automation and these products are amazballs. Being able to change the color and brightness to suit my mood, having the lights come on when I come home and turn off when I leave, etc. It's amazing and simple to setup.Philips Hue seems to be the way to go for home automation because of all the IFTTT recipes, products, even "friends of hue" products that are now coming out.

I do love these lights, however I couldn't give it 5 stars for a couple of reason.1. I don't understand why you need to connect this thing to the internet. The box itself should be good enough. So that is annoying.2. The lights can be unresponsive at times. I would tell Siri to "Turn off lights", then only half would turn off. I would tell it to "Turn on Lights", they would all be one, and then "Turn off Lights" then it would then work properly finally. Siri will only work for one device (Unless I'm doing something wrong) But I can't figure it out.3. When you get home, you will have to wait until your phone connects to your box. You know. The one that is connected to the internet, but won't respond if it's "offline". So your sitting in the dark, getting frustrated why your lights won't come on. There is supposed to be an option to work your lights even when your not home. I can't get it to work.I've had these for about two months and those are the biggest issues I'm having with them as of the moment. For something that is so freaking expensive, this shouldn't even be an issue. OH, I forgot. When you first set this up. You need to search for you lights. Well, the box wouldn't pick up almost any lightbulb. So I had to manually enter the serial number on the bulbs itself. That was not only annoying, but somewhat unbelievable that I had to do that.I know you might think I hate these bulbs, but I really do love them. The colors not only improves my mood, but it's just so relaxing. There are apps where you can play your music. but you have to buy the one that works. I haven't even found any apps that work with movies. These are some of the things that are on the box itself. So it's a little misleading, since it doesn't even give you an option in the Philips app itself. Oh, there are two apps also. An old one and new one. But it was easy to "upgrade".I guess with any technology there will be a few hiccups, but I think this going in the right direction. These are very bright, so I'm glad about that. If the price was lower I would put these everywhere. Even if the bulbs don't respond for any reason. You can still manually your your light switch normally. So that is a nice "backup". But I do recommend these.

Works great with the new 2.0 bridge allowing Apple HomeKit integration. I just love scheduling light scenes and being able to use third party apps on my phone to change the lights based on music or even what's on my tv! Definitely worth the money, you won't be disappointed!

I figure after all the work (dumb luck) they turned out great! I had to return a couple bulbs but it's worth it now! The whole trick is going online and getting an account and using the app you download from the link on the Hue support page! After that you first set up your light on your phone. The HUE app will askyou for your email and password, then it will find your bridge, then it will search for lights! THIS IS where I got all crosswise! You will see if you look, a place to enter the serial number. Copy all your lies serial numbers and add them one by one and you will be on your way😁. 456202 is gen 2. This model is priced at six dollars more than the gen 3 model. Search some more before purchasing this sku. Either the item number is wrong or these guys are just trying to clear their warehouse of old models by marketing them as comparable to current hardware.

This is the second generation. It did not say, so I assumed it was the new one. The cost of the 3rd generation is about the same. Other listings specified. It works, the greens are kind of yellow. Buy the third generation.

Works well. Not sure if the Home app on the iPhone works 100%. Randomly loses connection with some bulbs. Hue app seems to work well though.

These continue to be the best bang-for-your-buck coloured smart bulbs out there. Work quickly and effectively, easy to set up, nice and bright, and don't cost an arm and a leg.

Estas bombillas son de último modelo (2015, segunda generación), no confundir con las de primara generación que aún siguen a la venta al mismo precio. Aclaración: las especificaciones de Amazon indican que son bombillas de 240v, lo cual es incorrecto, estas bombillas son de 110-130v.

Very nice for mood lighting. Works very well with Echo, Google Home, IFTT and Smart things.

Hay opciones más baratas, pero estos son duraderos, aguantadores, nunca me han fallado, tengo ya focos que casi llegan a los 10 años y siguen funcionando como el primer día, es decir, el precio lo vale por la calidad, no necesitaras reemplazarlos por fallos.

Awesome, straight forward to use. App could use a little love tho.
