It does sharpen your knife however not the most ergonomic. Placing a wet rug while you use it may come in handy. I wish there was finer grain available on it too. However It is all is offset by its cheap price. You want a cheap knife sharpener that does what it says. You go for it. However not the most comfortable.

I bought it as someone recommended for sharpening my dull knives rather than paying everytime to get them sharpened. And I was amazed. It's a wonderful product sharpened the knives blades and made them cut as if they were new. Plus it's so cheap, saves you so much money as compared to buying new knives or getting them sharpened every two months. Even my husband used it for sharpening his pocket knife and it worked wonders on that too. Recommend it highly
